I've pretty much got everything sorted with over a year to go. Most people are saying it's too soon, but I'd stress out if it wasn't done. Has anyone else done this?

Yep as soon as we started to get things booked in I started making things. 4 months to go and the only thing left for me to make is the orders of service, but I've done the outside I just need to print the inside.

I get married in October and booked most things last January/February for me this was a massive mistake because It left me with about a year before I could do anything else and I felt I should be doing something. I now only have rings, suits and decorations to get which is a nice feel compared to the feeling of having so much to do but not being able to do anything.

I was exactly like this the wedding ran like clock work the only think I couldn’t control was the weather after buying white umbrellas we had a perfect sunny day. I think much better to be on top of it now you can relax. Enjoy your hen party then everything else will fall into place x

We haven't booked anywhere and I'm looking at shortlisting to two or three companies for everything so I can book everything so I know it's done! Couldn't handle the stress of booking a venue then looking for a photographer then the next thing I'd panic and made quick decisions and probably regret them later xxx

Bethany Smith 25 Jan 2018

Totally! Mines in October and there's barely anything left to do. I've even started arranging all the flowers haha. Things still need to be ordered and some things need to be paid for but everything is there and ready to go.

UKbride Administrator 26 Jan 2018

I started planning 3 weeks ago I have set the date and booked church for May 2019, reception venue booked, make up & hair booked in, I have prices for transport, disco / photo booth package booked, have brought lots of the little bits (favour boxes, ribbon, kids activity packs, artificial flowers) I have a price for my bouquet, and we have more or less picked our rings, my daughters dresses are organised and I have my first dress appointment next week. I’ve booked my photographers and made a list of specific photos we want taken. I even have someone designing my wedding stationary. It’s the same as what most of you have put - book it all in early and don’t rush to pay it off

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 26 Jan 2018

We're almost completely sorted with 9 months to go. I'd hate to be stressing in the last few months leading up to my wedding. I want to enjoy them, not panic that I don't have x, y and z sorted. X

I'm hoping I can do Em this as wedding is not for 2 years but have already got everything for myself bar Fred's which I have picked. Hoping to have it all booked and sorted for Christmas so all to sort is the final payment. How realistic that is gonna be I have no clue at the minute but I do prefer to be not worrying nearer the time. Less stress the better!
