We got married at 1.30pm. Was perfect as people had eaten lunch before they came and it was ‘dinner time’ when we sat down for the meal. It also gave me enough time to get ready in the morning and not rush about. Happy planning!!!! X

UKbride Administrator 22 Jan 2018

We had a 12 o clock ceremony as got married in Dec so gave us light afterwards for outdoor photos as gets dark by 2.30. We had speeches at 3 and we had been clear to everyone they couldn't be longer than 5 mins. We had food at 3.15/3.20 x

When I rang the registry office they only had 12 o'clock or 3pm available. If I'd done it at midday, then there would have been a couple hours where there was nothing for my guests to do. So we're doing it at 3pm. But having guests arrive at 2pm for the canapés and drinks. Then evening people will arrive about half 6/7..

Emma Raisborough
Emma Raisborough 22 Jan 2018

We're getting married at 3pm. I used to work as a wedding coordinator in a venue and most of our wedding began at 3pm - the day flows quite nicely, there isn't much hanging around but its not rushed either :)

Danielle Smith

We are getting married at 2pm in a church.. having 200 guests day and night (so everyone gets to see the ceremony). Our reception is about 15min drive away.. we are having a hot buffet.. I am hoping feeding people once will be enough.. but I am going to do a huge sweet table

I'm getting married at 4pm, then having a hog roast and buffet at local community centre.. We wanted a later one as we found at previous weddings we were so tired as we were up so early in the morning.

We are getting married at 12pm. I wanted 1pm but, the registrar couldn't do that time. We are hoping to have our wedding breakfast at 2pm and the evening buffet at 7pm.

So happy to see everyone has a different time in mind which suites them and there day. I'm stuck with the decision of either 10:30 or 4pm. I'm not particularly happy with either. 4pm is far too late considering we've booked a 3 course meal, canapes and then a hog roast for the evening. I feel like half the day will have gone by the time we get there. So it looks like it's going to have to be the 10.30 booking. I will just have to rush x
