How much on average does a wedding dress cost?

You can find some nice ones on the high street from places like Debenhams or John Lewis for about £350 but bridal shops you can be looking at thousands. There are some specialist charity shops and also, I have found in St Albans there is a warehouse place that sells them so I am sure there are others around the country. For some it is very much the sky is the limit.
