My wedding is in October next year and i’m struggling with bridesmaid dresses. My colour scheme is burgundy but i cannot seem to find anything. I searched in bridesmaid shops but they are very expensive. I’ve looked online but the horror stories are putting me off! I have 4 adult bridesmaids who are also very picky in what’s they wear. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I also highly recommend Wed2b I went to one of their stores and got my wedding dress for £99 and a dress bag for £7, You wouldn't think this dress would be that cheap! x

Two of my bridesmaids wore velvet multiway dresses from a wonderful seller on etsy. Although they're multiway they both ended up going for the same style! One of them accessorised with a brooch but you can use bangles and stuff too. Gorgeous material and don't crease! Just under £100 each if I remember rightly. X

I used a website called For Her and For Him. This was mainly because my colour is a bit unusual (and they offer a colour matching service) but I also really liked the idea of custom fitting to make sure they all fit my girls perfectly. I was so impressed with them from start to finish. The dresses are beautiful quality and fit the girls beautifully. They even made some customisation to their design for me. They aren’t super cheap but you get a better price depending on how many your buying. In the end mine came up to about £110 per dress including custom colour, customised design and custom sizing.

Why don't you buy fabric (you can get good fabric for as little as £3 per yard/meter) and have each bridesmaids fabric sown in a style they like.
That way you have your colour and they have a dress that is tailored to them and they can always wear again.

This method is used a lot in African culture when it comes to weddings and even birthday parties and all other parties (we have our family and friends wear a fabric of our choice).

If it’s burgandy you’re after, I’d probably wait until the autumn when all of the richer colours come out in the stores/online. It was last autumn I was looking for spring colours and wasn’t having any luck... until now! So as crap as it sounds, you might just have to wait! 😘

I've been looking in Debenhams and quiz for dresses. Even house of Fraser. They are a lot cheaper than bridal shops. Xx

I'd say online not all of the dresses cone with horror stories. It's where I'm getting my 6 bridesmaids dresses from. Always read the reviews and feed back of each seller. Hope this helps you xx

My bridesmaids are coming from all over the world, they're all different shapes and sizes and like different styles. I've told them all the colour I want them to wear and that I want it to be a long dress. And I'm letting them go and find their own dresses. I've found some really gorgeous burgundy ones on amazon, but by giving them the choice they can spend as little or as much as they like, providing it's the right colour and length!

My sister got hers from eBay and as I’m a size 22-24 it’s very difficult but the dresses are amazing, fit perfectly and are corset backed so look amazing, I will also be getting my dresses from eBay, my bridesmaids have picked between them which one, my advice would be to look on eBay and send them the ones you like, they will then pick the one they all agree on, it’s fuss free and the dresses are beautiful, the pic is of the dress before alterations but it is beautiful on and feels so light and comfortable but there’s slot of nice ones on eBay

Hi, I used an online company called brand alley. They have discount dresses from shops like coast and deliver immediately. The customer service is great as well. Hope that helps :)

Wed2B have some nice ones, the other one that was recommended by a friend is Davids Bridal, they have 4 stores in the UK but based in the US. She used them for her bridesmaids and they looked fantastic.
