Look at photographers, confirm your guest list and send out save the dates if you are doing this.

I'd start by making some spreadsheets so you can keep on top of budget/ guests etc.
Then I'd start looking on the internet for ideas and things you want and then you can start booking- pinterest is great for ideas.
Also have a look to see if there are any wedding fairs around you to go to.
Make a list of everything you need/want ie. photographers, cake, entertainment, invites, florist etc.
For photographers our venue recommended having a look on their website or portfolio and seeing which pictures you like- more often then not the photos you like best are from one or two different photographers- meaning you like their style of pictures so quite a good person to get in contact with first.
The earlier you get things booked the more likely you are to get your first choice on everything too.
Hope this has helped, good luck and enjoy the planning

Start researching photographers and videographers as the good ones go quickly, then decide about entertainment that you want eg.photobooths, discos, go to wedding fairs and shop around, ask for deals if you can on things..and both of you sit down and write a list of the things that are important to your wedding day and BUDGET them! Dress shopping is fun so enjoy that and don't stress out! It's a lovely fun time so enjoy it...also don't rush to choose bridesmaids out of excitement, things change trust me!!!!! Haha xx

Work out your budget and style before anything. Also make a list of what things are important to you.

My biggest advice to you is shop around do not go with the first price. Choose your style then start collecting bits and pieces. Do your research on photographers, the most expensive are not always the best. I had two amazing photographers £500 coverage from 7am till 11pm inc all copying rights and a drone for pictures outside the tipis amazing where as all the fancy ones you meet at wedding fairs etc we’re charging £1,500 to start with. Xx good luck

Me and my partner get married 31.5.19 first thing we did was work out our budget then booked our venue and registrar, then photographer. We found those were the things to book first as dates in 2019 that we wanted were filling up

It might be worth buying a wedding planner - I got one off Amazon for £10 ... it helps to make sure you havent forgotten anything!

Sort out your budget! We chose everything we wanted, added up the costs and then looked if we could save for that / afford that.

Spreadsheet galore has worked for me! I do enjoy doing that kind of thing though.

I put together a budget spreadsheet firstly with forcasted, actual and difference for each part of the wedding/suppliers/services.

I then did a guest list spreadsheet for day/evening - with save the dates, invites, rsvp, gift received, Thank you note sent.

Happy planning :)
