We are on a tight budget and would like to save money on the invitations. We need to send around 80 invitations. Im not the most creative person but I am prepared to make my own if it works out cheaper, How did you all do the invitations and does anyone have any tips on saving money and making your own invitations?

We created an event on Facebook then invited all friends and family. It worked for us as they were all on Facebook. A cheeky cheat but it worked. X

Vistaprint have a lot of different designs. Amazon have some nice uncustomisable ones but you can print out the details from word and stick that inside the card.

www.treeofhearts.co.uk have some that you fill in yourself. They also do printed ones. I think I have found mine on there.

I made my own - all I did was find a pattern on google, put it into Microsoft publisher, done the wording, printed them off, stuck some adhesive gems on and tied a ribbon around with a pinecone charm. It took me a day to do them and cost me £35 to make all them including RSVP cards, information cards and envelopes (I done 60 day invitations and 30 evening). I don't feel I was overly creative with it but I got a few compliments about them :)

Hi, I got a sample (free of charge) from treeofhearts and broke that apart to use as a template.
I ordered the correct card I want and cut out the templates.
(My brother is designing the inside design) I ordered a sample because I am doing a pocket fold invite.
Hope this helps 😊

Canva.com is brilliant. There’s templates to use and you can change the colours and images. Then you can just print them. Absolutely brilliant!

If it helps I’m making my own origami style which just needs to be printed on A4 then folded into a heart. So simple and can be printed at home.

My friend made the design on her laptop (copied a design I'd seen online) and then used vista print to print them, we got 50% discount off the first order, altogether it cost about £50 for 40 ceremony invites, 60 reception invites and envelopes.
