Hi I went to a venue yesterday and fell I. Love with it so I know that’s the ace I’ll be getting Married in. But what do you do first? Deposit on venue, insurance or call registrar? Thanks in advance! ????

Hi provisionally book venue then check with registrar to see if the date is available :)

I agree with Lucy, hold the venues date and then phone the registrar to see when they are available. You might need to go back to the venue after you have spoken with the registrar. Most insurers cover payments already made but make sure when you get one that it does do this x

our venue penciled id in for the date and time we wanted and then we got into the registra straight away and luckily got what we wanted, we then paid our deposit

We knew it was the place so actually phoned the registrar when we were there and booked the venue there and then. They would usually pencil you in until you can phone registrar though

Provisionally book the venue then confirm your ceremony with the registrar, Then confirm your venue once you know you have your ceremony booked :)

Ok thank you. As I’m getting married in 2020. I can’t book registrar till June 2018 as they only do 2 years in advance. But thank you for your help. 👍
