My twin sister has designed mine and they are beautiful. I'm so lucky to have such a talented sister. I've helped stick them in the card and tied the ribbons on them though the photo is just of the invitation itself.

I'm thinking of designing and printing my own but time-wise it may be more effective to have them printed.

Hi My Mum is making ours :)

My step mum is helping make all our invites, place settings and table plan, she makes cards as a hobby. Aslong as you have a basic idea of what you want it can be easy, it is quite time consuming though so give yourself plenty of time to do them.

I'll be making ours. We are a very crafty couple so pretty much making everything.

Printed ours on kraft card using a posh font off Word. Save The Dates, Invites and Evening Invites cost less than £20 including postage.

We are :) going to design it on the computer and print on some nice quality card :) the priciest thing will be our ink and it's still cheaper than buying them from a supplier

I'm doing my invites myself with a black lace border on mint green card as I'm only having a small wedding. Was costing too much with someone doing it for me. I have place cards all sorted as well.

I made mine in an afternoon. I made them for less than £1 each, a local professional charges £6 each for similar

We made ours well kind off. There is a really good website called graphic river they have 100's of different designs. Then when you buy them they send you the photoshop files so you can edit and personalise them with you names, details images etc. For the full set save the dates, invites, menu, order of service table number place names etc in a matching art it cost $14 (about £10 Canadian company). Then we got them printed by a printing company £15 double sided with envelopes. Its a cheap way of getting wedding stationary that looks like its been professionally made but without the price plus you can personalise them yourself.

I'm printing my invites onto kraft card- there are some really good font sites if you want to avoid fonts that are Microsoft word ones. Our save the dates open up to tie a knot with green baker's yarn :) I was donated a huge wad of envelopes to send them in so I'm lining them with some pretty paper then hand drawing on them to make them look more weddingy (taking a wee bit longer than I thought, but nearly there!)

I'm making my own and I actually got 2 free samples of the invites I want to make (got them from tree of hearts) and am breaking them down to use as templates. This way you'll have the correct measurements for free! Hope this helps

I am, got everything from Hobby craft, just need to finalise a venue and then I am going to see how much a local shop will charge to print the inside, if too expensive we will print ourselves.

I did! Couldn't justify paying someone to do what i could. I used pre printed cards and did the rest myself! I doubt its cost me more than £40-£50 for 70ish invites

Theres a bit more info printed on paper and an rsvp on card (also done on word) and I wrapped ribbon round and added a few lil gems i bought off ebay (85p for 184 self adhesive gems.) Prob cost me a 10er for everythin!!
