It can be anything you are wearing. Many garters have blue in them because the bride will not want blue to be on show. I'm wearing topaz earrings that my H2B bought me our first Christmas together.
Anything you choose....make it personal to yourself. My H2B and groomsmen are wearing royal blue suits and I've brought shoes to match their suits, which of course will be hidden under my dress ... quirky little surprise 😊
