We haven't got a very big budget and are looking at wedding cakes. We're happy to go with M&S but we're worried about them not coming stacked. Has anyone put cakes together before or got a good stand for 4 tiers?
Transport them to the venue and ask them to stack them. Just make sure you have the rods.

I used to be a wedding coorindinator and I have put a few M&S cakes together. They are fine I just recommend making sure a sharp knife is around as I always found the rods are too long, so I would mark them and trim them down. As others have said ask the venue if they will do it for you, most will :)
How much is a wedding cake from M&S just out of interest?
If you get the m&s wedding cake book it will say which ones comes stacked and which ones don't
