Wedding Forum - Just designed my cake *squeeeeeee*...

Just been to a local cake-maker and designed my cake! Really excited about it!

It's totally non-traditional and I was worried that the cake maker wouldn't like it, but she's really on-board and keen, so yay! :D

Here's my design... bear in mind our wedding "theme" is purple ("Cadbury's purple") and blue (royal blue).

3 tiers

Bottom tier is chocolate, middle is vanilla sponge, top is lemon sponge.

Bottom tier is purple with little stars sprinkled on it. (this will match my dress)

Middle tier is royal blue.

Top tier is white and blue - blue background with clouds :) On top, there's going to be a Spitfire in the clouds (because I fly, and flew a Spitfire this last summer).

Our figurines will be sitting on top of the bottom tier. The OH is going to have a parachute spilling out over the edge of the layer, like he just landed (his hobby is skydiving).

Additionally, our two little black kittens are going to be represented somewhere on the cake... playing with the icing or attacking the ornaments :)
