I have been shopping around for Wedding hair and make-up quotes and so far the most reasonable I have found in my area is:
1 hair stylist – 10am till 2:30pm (wedding starts at 3:30 - I am getting ready at my venue)
Bridal Hair = £40 Bridal Make up = £25 Bridesmaid Hair = £25 x2 £50 Bridesmaid Make – up = £25 x2 £50 Transport = £40 Total = £205
For extra person (mum) would need 2 stylist price is £295
Bridal Hair trial x2 = £60 Bridal Make up trial = £20
Do you think this is a good deal?
Is it enough time and only having 1 stylist?
Do you think its better to have two seperate people one who does hair and one who does make up?
thanks x

I think it sounds a reasonable cost my MUA is going to be £260 alone, everyone has there own opinions on people who do both hair and make up, but I think one person for 4 people is tight, I've had my make up done twice by a MUA and she took 40 mins for my make up alone I wouldn't want to be rushed. I have both hair and MUA's separately as I prefer someone who is solely one or the other xx

I no have an extra bridesmaid so will need to have 2 people. I have been looking on the book of face but there hairdressers are coming back more expensive than my salon quote above for both hair an make up. Where did everyone find there's or if it was book of face what did you search? I must be doing something wrong I seem to only find super expensive people. haha x

I agree with the others that I would have 2 people just so you know there is enough time to fit everyone in :-)

My hair and make-up trial is costing me £80, which is also what it will cost on the day. She is doing my BM's hair on the day for £60 each.

I'm going to have to have the two women now since I have gained a bridesmaid and my mum wants her make up down.
My problem is they want to charge me £80 for transport for them to drive to venue and back (£40 each)
my arguement is why can't they come in the same car they work in the same salon? It's a 10/15 min drive there from the Salon so I don't understand why they are charging so much.
how do I politely ask to have this lowered? I'm not very good at asking for a reduce price makes me a nervous no idea why.

Ask for a breakdown of that cost as it seems unreasonable to be so high for such a short journey

You clan always search on *****U Tub3 on ideas for makeup and practice it etc. That way save extra pennies. I never get my self pampered I'm getting my nails done local to us around 2-3days before I go (acrylic ones) then having my hair and makeup done on the day by someone who's coming to my venue. I think £60for my hair and make up is worthit for a bit of pampering and my nails is being done by a friend for free so I can't go wrong with that really. X

My problem is my eyesight. I cant see past my nose without my glasses so don't wear makeup often as I cant see myself in the mirror to do my eyes :)
If you can afford it then why not!! That is a good price I think based on what I have seen. At all the wedding fairs it was closer to £70-80 for each one for the bride.

Emily are you paying for make up or just going to a counter and asking them to do it for free?
CommentAuthorEmily17
We did it for my mom for her birthday and was expecting a minimum spend after it but it was just for free. will defiunitely be buying some bits. lipstick to top up during the day etc.

I've found one in west bromwich which costs £260. That's for the trails and on the day of the wedding which is the cheapest I could find x
