    Hi ladies,

WE are going to book our venue tonight and there are a few things that I want added into the contract. is it cheeky to ask for this? Its important to me that we get these are part of the package so I want to be able to in future say. Here you go. You agreed to it. Go and do it.

    1. Bedroom prices for guests
    2. Additional guest prices
    3. DJ named in contract (We didn't like their standard so she offered someone she used to work with who we did like. want to make sure we get them and not the original people)
    4. They will decorate the venue

Not don't anything like this before.. is that ok do you think?

If you don't ask you don't get! The worst they can say is no but if they want you to book with them then I'm sure they will offer you as much as they can x

The rooms are a set price for guests and they will organise everything during the day as far as I'm aware oh I better double check now lol!! The add guest cost was also agreed when we got the contract as well.

But I agree with Emma - worst they can do is say no lol xx

You can ask them they can only say no. I know a couple of the venues that I looked at which offered accommodation were willing to offer rooms to my guests at a 10% discount but were not willing to give a set price as they could vary over the 2-3 years. I think all your requests are reasonable and your right to get it all in writing if they agree to it all!!

Like I say Mrs D, they have agreed to it all but its not in the contract at the moment.
In that case, I would want it in the contract that it would be 10% discount as of price on x date so that they couldn't go back on the 10%
I don't think its fair on us or guests not knowing.

    I will ask and see.

I was dreading it this morning. with everything that's been going on I just couldn't be bothered with it but now starting to get excited :D

I don't think these are unreasonable requests. Its your big day and as EmmaP2B said if you don't ask you don't get. It's pretty common for venues for venues to reserve a block of rooms when you book your wedding and give them at a discount price. Most packages I saw had this. We were given a block of 20 rooms at a discount price. I think most venues do the decorating unless you hiring seat covers, etc from someone else then they put them on for you. It's definitely worth confirming all these details though :)

Remember you're giving them a lot of money so you're quite right to negotiate! Let us know how you get on xxx

Oh gosh that would be a nightmare!! The venue arranges all the chair covers but need to do the sashes ourselves so I was just going to hire someone to do that for us while I'm relaxing and getting ready xx

The only one that wasn't included was the decorating and as soon as I asked she did it. Bonus :)
