Oh yeah, used to be very traditional. Great way for those to be included who couldn't attend. We are planning on doing this for my OH's great uncle and aunt who live in Germany and are too elderly to travel/attend! x

We have deliberately got a cake that will be too big for everyone there but I intend on giving it a good go, I love cake!!

Our thing is after we cut it for photos we forgot to get it cut up as got distracted by evening stuff so have lots of cake lol we are keeping one tier for first child baptism but have some other tiers slowly being given away

Should be easy enough to post. get some takeaway boxes and put it in them, brown paper wrapping and take to post office for them to weigh and see how much postage would be.
