As it says, we getting married in 6 weeks this Saturday and suddenly realized that we don't really have any decor or centrepieces apart from a shed load of (gorgeous!) bunting! Now nice though it is, our venue does need a little more ;)
It's a rustic/country feel and we've got a sort of musical/Harry Potter theme going on. Colours are royal blues and yellows for flowers and bridesmaids but the bunting and all the decor we are wanting pastels so that it all fits in with the venue! It's a bit of a mish mash of ideas but we wanted all our important things in the day!
We are thinking jars/pots/jugs of wild country flowers, musical confetti (already bought) scattered on the tables, lots of hanging hearts etc.....
Any ideas?? No idea if any of that will look good together!!
Here is some pictures of the inside set up and not set up:

Run round a few local charity shops and look for pottery jugs to fill with wild flowers. You don't necessarily need fresh ones for the centrepieces. And if this heat continues, they might wilt anyway. X

Or if you want to run with the HP theme a bit more you could decorate witches hats with the wild flowers to tie the two themes together? X

Love Kirsty's idea. We had a music theme and each table was named after a musician, with the centrepiece designed to reflect that person. For example the Saint-Saens table had lots of animals for Carnival of the Animals. Depending on your table names maybe you can do something different for each table. With the Harry Potter thing maybe you could get the house banners (I'm sure they would be available online somewhere) to hang in the venue. You could probably make miniature broomsticks quite easily to add to a centrepiece.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.
We ummed and ahhed with the music theme and it's in there entwinned. There's a more music focus on the day with HP here and there.
Since I posted, we've decided to go with small centrepieces from the florist filled with wild flowers, mini easels for the tables with the table numbers on and gone a bit mad on music and butterfly hanging hearts!!
Think the hats idea is a bit too 'HP convention-esque' but we are turning our sweetie cart into a mini-Honeydukes which is exciting :)

Glad to hear you figured it out. Another good way is using jars with lace and burlap. Or you can just cheat with lace tape.
