As we've put deposit down for dress, I'm now wondering about dress bags, boxes, I'm guessing it goes in a bag until wedding day or can it go in a special box? ( hugging dress not big puffy one) do we get one free from the dress shop or do I need to buy one? And what should I store the bridesmaids dresses in? x

My dress is in the shop in storage and its in a large zip up dress bag. I would think they would provide one for your dress too, can you not call and ask? I have picked up my BM dresses and I need to get something for them as there just in a think plastic covering xx

Think it may depend on the shop as to whether you get a garment bag included. I bought mine from the outlet shop where I got my dress, tho I've seen some on @m@z0n, the bay and also the r@ng£ sell them too xx

Some shops give dress bags others don't.

Also, some put it in a plastic covering which whilst it keeps the dust off is not good for the fabric as it doesn't allow it to breath. If you only get a plastic cover then take the dress out and cover with a large bedsheet instead.

My wedding dress came in a fabric wedding dress cover bag so I didn't have any issues.

I had to buy a dress bag, I got one off the internet for a few quid. Once in the bag I put the bag inside of an old duvet cover.

Mine came with a bag and I was told to leave it slightly unzipped at the top to allow the fabric to breathe. I might use a suit bag when we order the bm dresses x

Mine came with a bag, but it stayed in the shop until the wednesday before the wedding, after I purchased a big box wi acid free tissue paper.

Mine didn't come with a bag and it's hanging in my old wardrobe at my parents house in a duvet cover.
