To carry their dress around at reception rather than bustle it up? I'm quite liking the idea and I'm not loving the idea of bustling my dress up! Any pics would be appreciated! I don't think my dress would be too heavy to carry around, also the cost of putting it in if anyone's had it done

Are your dress shop doing the alterations for you? I'd ask them for the price as for any alterations I found the price varied massively with different shops.

I'm having mine bustled as I don't like the idea of having to carry it all night and my dress looks lovely when it's bustled, but if you want the hoop go for it :) it's your dress, have it how you like it. I can't imagine it will cost anymore then having the alterations for the bustle anyway (as most dresses don't come with it ready done)

You can have it bustled, which is where there's a hook at the back of the dress which ''bustle'' it up using for after the ceremony and all you photo's have been taken... or a loop which goes around your wrist.

It's so you don't have a massive train all day and in the evening, as obviously a big train isn't practical for dancing ect.

Yes the shop are doing mine so I'll check with them but when I originally tried it on they said it'd be round £25 to bustle the train, but my train is all what my dress is all about even though it's not huge id like to be able to easily let it down for later pics etc
Also I have a bouncy castle... I'm not sure anythings going to help me there! Lol

Yes I can see from the pics thanks glitterfairy! I just like the look, it's a very romantic feel!
Yes most dresses have a loop from the manufacturer just for hanging it on the hanger though and I want a pretty one not one that says Maggie sottero all over it! Lol I've seen some that have little pears on the ribbon that looks cute, almost like a bracelet when you have it on

You could probably do the beaded ones yourself. Get some good strong ribbon and use any pretty beads you like, possibly in your wedding colours and have it securely sewn into the dress. The only thing to make sure is it doesn't drag on the floor and make a noise while you're walking down the aisle so maybe another small bit of ribbon sewn higher up to hold it in place. X

Mine already had a loop in it. I had a bustle put in too but didn't use it in the end because my sister and best mate on the day could work out how to do it even though the seamstress showed them. So ended up using the loop which tbh was fine.
