Hi Ladies; I am quite pale and was thinking of building up a tan for my honeymoon; plus when I'm stressed I sometimes come out in red blotches on my face so having slightly darker skin will mean they won't show up as much if I do flare up.
So how much should I expect to pay for a sunbed sessions and how long for? Or would it be being to go with a tanning lotion? I have sensitive skin so a sunbed might be better but I'm claustrophobic! Arrgh :(
If I do go with a sunbed; Does anyone have any recommendations? (Please pop a link on my profile is so?) I have attached photos of me tanned and un-tanned so would be looking to get a tan similar to the tanned photo but not quite as dark :)

I like stand up sunbeds and always use a cream just before going in! I would start off low too, times differ between shops, some may go up in 2.5 minutes and others go up in 3 minutes. most places though local to me are about £13 for 60 minutes, sometimes get a few extra minutes free if they have an offer on.
I'd maybe go on for 2.5/3minutes (depending on what the shop do) once or twice a week, depending how you get on with it. If you burn just go once and don't rush it!
I reallllly need to start going again but can't seem to find the time or energy. MUST get back into it as I'm running out of time! X

What cream do you use April? Yeah I was thinking about 3-5 mins once a week; how long do they take to work on average as I know everyone is different; not sure when to start? :S

I would start as soon as possible then if you get the colour you want early, you can stop if you want to, rather than start in a few weeks and not be as brown as you'd like. I can't remember what kind if cream I have as there is so much choice. I think I just picked a cream from a shop in the town that said about enhancing your tan and it smelt nice lol! If you're not sure you might have a better choice if you ask the staff at the sunbeds as they usually have a handful that they sell and can recommend one for you x

I found the cream I use and posted a link on your wall. I can normally the same one in two shops for about £2 a bottle if you have them where you live x
Is a spray tan not an option? I've never used a sunbed before just because of the risks etc. but I've had a few spray tans and never had any problems. Depending where you go they can be as little as £15.

Hi April, what is the cream that you use and is it safe for someone like myself who has eczema? Spray tans are not an option for me as they go patchy (again this is due to eczema) but I have been going to stand n tans. My local Indig@ Sun does a min of 4 mins but I only stay in for 3 because otherwise I start burning and get really dry skin for a week :(

I'm considering tanning for the wedding/honeymoon as well.
Partly for the tan, but more so to avoid burning on honeymoon.
I know there are risks with sunbeds, but I'm not planning on really over doing it and I think there is a bigger risk with suddenly going to a very hot climate and burning then there is with tanning a little on the sun bed first.
I also have no idea when to start or how long to go on for.... I might take a look at starting this week, as my fiance is off work so I could look at going after work... although may not be able to do the following week as me and little one are off school and I'd have no one to watch him :/
