Wedding Forum - Wedding websites...

I'm not sure if we are going to have one, but the obvious thing that springs to mind is directions if anyone needs them. Maybe written directions and a map. Contact details of the venue just in case, with full address, tel and email if they have one - our guests are going to have to contact the venue to book their rooms if they would like one, so this information would be useful for them.

Maybe an itinerary of the day so everyone knows what is happening and when? x

We aren't sure on whether to put a gift list on or not, what are your thoughts?

I think adding an itinerary would help as everyone seems to recommend that too. x

We had the following info (some of which was also included in the information cards):

Accommodation: details of the special rate we'd secured at the hotel and contact numbers to book.

Transport:
Nearest car parks with links
Nearest train station
A function where you can enter your departure address and it will give instructions by road
Local taxi numbers

Order of the day to give people an idea of what was happening when (we particularly wanted this for the evening so people knew when we were cutting the cake/doing the first dance)

Photo upload function (no-one used this)

Registry information with a link to our giftlist

Venue details for both the ceremony and reception venues inc maps and addresses

More contact details for us eg phone and email in case anyone had questions


I'd say about half of our guests visited the website (as I said most info was included in the invitations so it wasn't strictly necessary); no idea if they found it useful though!

Thank you! Just had a look and it's lovely, so easy to find out what's going on and what you should and shouldn't do etc! Hadn't thought of half of the things you've put on there!

I've been made aware my link doesn't work hehe.. if you're struggling to get on, there is a space before the /mrsandmrspringle part - take that out and the link will work. Strange as I took the link straight from the website!! xx

^its probably because the other way round it's for you to access your site to make changes I think.
