Hi everyone. I am starting to really thing about our wedding and starting to try and put together my ideas on invites etc. I have some mini luggage tags with a lovely quote on which I was thinking of using on my save the date cards. I have also just ordered some paper doilies which I am going to be using to wrap around the main invite, directions to the venue and RSVPs. The idea that I have in mind is having each of the latter descending in size so that my guests will be able to clearly see which is which and it also looks well presented. As I am making these myself I was wondering if anybody else has done this, is doing this, and what size card they are using for each as I don't want to order the card and for them to be too big or too small! Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance x

Hi hun, I found that if you pop in to hobby craft they have the wide selection of size paper that you might need for all your stationery. I found them useful when deciding on the sizing of everything. obv i'll shop around for pricing, but i found as theyre a national craft they had the widest rage of sizing to see and get an idea of. xx

I ordered 50 sheets of A4 card from @m@zon.. was only £4, really good quality as well. I'm hoping that will make around 20-25 invitations. I'm doing the same as you, having the invitation about A5 in size, then 3 other 'cards' descending in size, so will have 4 bits in total. I'm printing on normal paper (on A4 paper) then cutting down to size, then cutting the card to size and sticking the paper onto the card. I have just played about with the paper size settings on W0rd to find a suitable size.. took a few trial prints to get them just right xx

I bought 50 sheets of A6 card for £3 from Rym@n, it is printer card so it works really well when you are printing onto it, they have lots of different coloured cards too and it is really good quality.
Got together on 14th March 2010
Got engaged on 25th December 2013
Became Mrs P on 14th May 2016 - best day ever!

Ohh, thank you ladies, I shall have a look in these places and see what I can find. All the guests for our wedding will be getting full day invites so there will be roughly about 50 invites made. That is a really good idea about finding out the paper sizes on word, I will have to see if I can figure out how to do that. Thanks again ladies xx
It took a bit of playing about but got there in the end. After a few trial runs you'll be well away x

I just received some paper lace doilies which I ordered a couple of weeks ago. I am going to use them to fold around the invites etc. when they are all complete and then going to tie it all together with twine or ribbon. So the invites themselves I was wondering whether or not to print the information out and stick it onto the card and then vintage them up a bit with a tea bag. I wasnt sure how that would look though so I will have to experiment a bit xx

I did think about tea staining ours.. you'd get a lovely texture then as well. Good luck with your experimenting! I'm just waiting for our lace now so when that comes I will start experimenting too! x

Ohh they do have some lovely things like that in there. I just got for our house, a nice tall cream candle holder from there which was in a kind of wedding section with lots of birdcages etc. xx
