So we have decided the date for the big day.... which is July 2015..
However, since this time nothing else has really been done... I previously had no idea where to start until i came onto this site.. so that has helped with the first steps we need to take.. but we just have not taken them..
I've seen ladies on the site getting married after me and they have venues, dresses, transport everything...
Is it possible to organise in such a short amount of time, or am i being to optimistic.. I'm starting to get a bit worried and wondering whether i should push back the date..
I'm a bit lost.... any suggestions

It is possible to plan in such a short period of time, but you really need to get planning now. first things first get the venue booked then go from there.

It is possible for definite, my neighbour is going from 0 to wedding in 4 weeks as they are moving to Dubai.
Get the venue and registrar sorted ASAP as these mean you can get married, the rest is essentially fluff :)

It can definitely be done. I pretty much had all of our wedding booked/bought in 4/5 months max.
Have you read the checklist at the top of the forum? That has everything step by step that you need.

I agree with the other ladies that it can be done, but you really need to book your venue ASAP, I would also get the photographer booker ASAP we were ringing round with 15+ months to go & most were booked already.
You do have time. We are planning everything in 6 months, we have only been engaged a month! I spent a bit of time looking for the right venue for us. I think work out what your budget is and decide where to get married and the style you after, that will narrow down your options then start Googling venues. If your choice is busy in July maybe consider a Friday or a Sunday wedding . After venue is suggest booking registrar, dress and photographer xx

There's plenty of time, that's because alot of us have been planning for nearly 3 years already, so as soon as it got to 2 years to go we were keen on getting things booked. Just need to make plans for things to organise. Coz I planned everything so early I am more sat on my ass waiting for the time to pad or organise the last few things that can't be done till nearer the time. I'm July 2015 and have booked Venue & food, registra ( due to give notice Tuesday), band, dress, shoes, cake, car, flowers. To doo, suits, bridesmaid & flower girl dresses, and shoes. Table plan, OOS, etc, decorations, petal confetti . have I missed anything?

You have tonnes of time, i know someone who organised her wedding in 3 months and my sister and BIL organised theirs in 6 months.
Just make a list and make a start on it all, it is easily done.

I've come across people who have planned their weddings in just a few months. You do need to get your venue and dress sorted ASAP, and I would book up transport, entertainment, photography, and catering if not provided by the venue, as matters of priority.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

You do have time, but like others have said I'd definitely get to work on venue/registrar and dress sooner rather than later. We're getting married July 3rd next year and have got booked so far - venue, registrar, entertainment, photographer, and I bought my dress today (though it won't be ready til March).
Definitely make a list and tick things off as you get them done - it's so satisfying and exciting to see things done!

I went to a dress shop today...(didnt make an app, never knew i had to).. i had no idea that even if u select a dress... U have to wait up to 6 months for all the fittings... I am so naive when it comes to these things.. But i have booked an apppointment to try on a few next sat.. I just want to guage my style and fit...

Yes my dress was ordered in August and won't be in until May/June which is when fittings will start. I think they can be ordered in quicker though :)

I think you can but depends what u want, if you want certain things, you may have to go with second options if the first is no longer available for example x

You don't need a set timescale, just do things when you want. That's what we did

Don't panic I am also a July 2015 bride and have only now really started getting things done. I literally just sorted venues out and then didn't do much and I found telling people my date they were the ones making me worried more than anything as they were the ones saying omg not much time! All I would say due to people booking in advance some stuff might be booked up for what you want so I would just do a list of what's needed and work through the list at your own pace :)
Somehow always connected , finally became friends .

It can be done. My supervisor at work organised hers in around 6 months. As others have said, it's best to sort your venue out first and then go from there. We did the photographer early on to make sure we got a good one.
