Hi I'm new to this :)
Might sound like a silly question but just wondered are you supposed to invite evening guests to your hen do? Or can you? I have people invited to evening that I would love to be there for day but the venue we have booked is a max of 92 for meal and we have filled that with mainly family and 1 or 2 close friends. And does anyone have any suggestions for something a little different for hen do I don't really wanna do the whiles big night out with L plates but would like something like a weekend of activities ending with a spa day or something. I'm im the north west. Thanks in advance x

    Hi Lauren, welcome :)

There is a big official hen night thread which I have just bumped up for you. Hopefully you will find find lots of advice and ideas on there.

I think it's fine to invite people who would be invited to the evening only, as like you said, you have number restrictions for your day guests. If there were no number restrictions then I'd say probably not to invite them as it's like saying they are good enough to come to your hen do but not your actual wedding.. But I'm sure they will understand and will be only more than happy to celebrate your hen with you x

Hi! I think it's fine to invite people that are only invited to the evening do. They will understand that it's a numbers thingi thibk unless you are very ritch most people have that problem.
As for alternative hen do, I don't drink and I am not in to the whole big night out think. So my sister (my maid of honer) is going to organise to rent a cottage in the new forest (I am down south). And maby do Go Ape at something along that lines. Them back to the cottage for a big adult kids party :). So maby you could do something along that lines? X

for my hen weekend we have hired a lodge (H0s3asons) with Hot tub and sauna, fri-monday we will spend most of our time there drinking cocktails lol and maybe have a night out in the nearest town with dinner drinks/cocktail making or similar.

Ive invited people to the hen weekend that are only going to the evening do they all know this before they agreed to go on the hen weekend.

I am going to give my MOH and good friend a list of people that I want to invite and leave it in their hands. My MOH is quite reserved and not a big drinker, my good friend is a social butterfly and an events planner, so I think when they put their heads together we will have an amazing time for everybody that still reflects my personality.

I will definitely be inviting my evening guests. I wouldn't want anyone at my wedding that wasn't a valuable person in my life, even if I have to choose some over others for the day reception.

Elizabeth, be careful drinking in the hot tub. It hits you so much quicker and harder! I found this out the hard way!!

Thanks everyone. I would love to do spa weekend or a nice cottage somewhere, cocktail making too. I also used to horse ride when I was younger and would love to get on a horse again so I thought that might be a good idea :)
My problem is my maid of honour has split up with her partner of 10 years about 10months ago, she has turned in to a party animal which is fine I did it all when I was younger and have a 5 year old now so iv just kinda grown out of it. She hasn't really shown much interest in my wedding until about 2 weeks ago when she has just got in a new relationship and has started thinking about hen do. She knows I would like to spa :) but she has also mentioned a night out in new castle with the whole sashes and l plates etc.. Which I'm not dissing as such I just didn't fancy it for myself. Iv asked her to speak to my sister as she has been helping me with wedding stuff etc and showing more interest etc but I don't think my moh wants to she now seems to want to plan it all without discussing with my other bridesmaids to find out what they all think but most importantly what they can afford.
