Hi all,
I am based in South Wales but just happen to be going to Manchester the weekend of the national wedding show, I was thinking of going but someone mentioned it's all northern based suppliers so not much point in me going.
Is this true?
Has anyone from out of the area of show ever been was it worth it ?

Hi! Even though I dont live out as far as you I live in Liverpool I am also going for the day! I would defo say go!! you get to see loads off different Ideas and different settings that could change your mind for your wedding or different Ideas. If you dont want to go to that one go to ones local in your area x

It may be worth going if you're there anyway! Even if they are northern suppliers you could see something you hadn't considered and search for local suppliers when you go back home?

Im in the north east and have thought about whether it would be worth me going to the Newcastle one but I've already got everything booked :(

I don't see why not? No reason why you can't at least check it out when you are in the area. You never know what ideas you might get from it even knowing you won't be able to book anything

I didn't bother as knew I'd be booking suppliers close to me and knew that most things at the show would be out of my price range and that I'd probably have to deal with suppliers miles away ... Might be good just for a wedding day out though x

I only go to local wedding shows, as I prefer to use more localy based vendors

Think we have decided against going now as one main thing would of been dresses on the catwalk and thinking it will be a rushed weekend as going to some dress shops in Cheshire the same weekend and traveling there and back will wear me out.

Hey hun :) If your interested the Memo in Barry always have really nice wedding fairs going on with lots of great suppliers and ideas. And you might find a supplier local to you as some come from all parts of South/West Wales :)

There's loads of shows coming up in Cardiff/Swansea around the 28th of this month :D
I'm not going to the National Wedding show just because I think it's the same sort of thing you can see elsewhere

I am going to the North West show in Manchester but only because I managed to get free tickets and I'm in Liverpool so it's not too far away for me. I think it will be good to get ideas but like others have said you can get these from other places! :)

We are going to the Birmingham one. We know we probably won't actually use any of the suppliers as they wouldn't be local to us it we are really keen to go just to look at all the ideas and get some inspiration. Would also be a fab experience and not something that you get to do often, so any excuse IMO and make the most of it :) have a fab time if you do go x
