sorry if this has been asked and its prbably an unanswerable question really im just after an idea!

ive paid for measured length so dress will already be made to fit length wise, so it will be bust and waist which needs taking in.. my shop charges 20 an hour

typically what am i looking at prce wise to lets say take a size 12 dress to a size 8/6 (they think theyll only need to order me a 10 to take down to roughly 6 or 8 so im just working on most alterations with my question lol)

what have others paid? im budgeting 150 but my parents do have some money for me so ill add that if i need to bt i cant imagine bust and waist would be too much? oh and a removal of a flower on dress and a very few crystals on belt

    thx in advance

Can you not order it in a smaller size if you already know it will be too big?

Mine needs taking in but only because I've lost a little weight since buying it but the shop ordered me the size that fit me at the time. That way if I didn't lose weight it would fit

shes ordering it closest to my biggest measurement and looking at romantica dress sizigs it may nred to be a 10 or 12 after 2 kids so close together my hips have jumped out of some of my size 8 clothes into a petite 10 lol :-) and bust wise who knows whats going on there 1 min i was a c the nxt a d now a c or a d depends on bra style lol!

i do know it wont need alot of taking in so lets say to go down 1 dress size it shouldnt tske too long??

I asked how much my alts would be at a guess as it needs taking in quite a lot, and she said the max they will be was £120, so if she says to budget that much, then anything less will be a good extra, instead of saying alts to be like £80 then turning out to be £120

I have a Romantica dress in a size 12 but I am a size 8 in normal clothes! It fits everywhere but my bust which needs taken in and my shop lady charges £75 to do that, with that, the length altered and some removable straps being added it is costing £210 xxx

ahh ok thanks for that! ive paid for measured length so that should be fine :-) so im probs about right with what i thought as the flower on my dress is getting took off and ive added a belt but the beading is too long i dont want to ruin it myself by picking at stitching so they said theyd do that for me it would take seconds lol

Im going through a well known bridal shop that begins with a B there alteration package is £200.00 which I thought was ok for a bridal dress.

My sisters BM dress is Romantica of Devon and she will only need it took in at the bust and to the hips and the lady said it would be about £50.00 for this.
