Just wanting peoples opinions,I eventually found my dress last Saturday and my mum paid the deposit.
While trying dresses on at the shop in which I brought my dress from I tried on a beautiful dress which cost £1500.. one of the reasons for not buying this dress was that is was to expensive. The lady who was helping mentioned about trying to get a 10% discount of the Dress.
anyway skipping forward a few dresses later I found my dress (this dress wasn't as expensive as the one above), however I totally blanked and forgot to ask whether the 10% applied to this dress too..
I am going back in on Saturday to get re-measured (I went to two shops Saturday but the measurements given to me from both shops varied by 2inches on my bust 4 inches on my waist and 1 inch on my hips) Its more piece of mind for me to get re-measured.. otherwise I can see myself panicking all the way up until January when it will come into shop.
So my question is even though we have already paid deposit would it be cheeky of me to ask about the 10% discount? The dress was right at the top of my mums budget therefor leaving no room for a veil etc.. so was thinking of bringing this into the conversation too,
Thanks in advance guys.. I just don't want to try if am going to sound cheeky.. but then again if you don't ask I suppose you don't get :)

Why would you have got 10% discount off the previous dress? No harm in asking but just wondering why everybody wasn't getting discount if it was available?!

If you don't ask, you don't get! You might get them to throw in the veil or a tiara, you never know.

There is definitely no harm in asking.. if you don't ask you don't get! The worst she can say is no. Definitely not cheeky xx

I definitely ask and if she forgot to apply it you might get some kind of discount on something else in the store too :) xx
I would say definitely ask, it would not be rude and you MUST haggle with everything if you can. If they cannot do that ask them if they can throw in the veil instead for you as it would complete the dress. Drop a hint (not an outright admission) that you will be considering getting your accessories from the store and it would be a shame to have to go somewhere else for them.
So far I saved £250 off my dress, £600 from venue and £200 with photographer. You don't get until you ask (or pester)
