    Hi

As some of you may already know that me and my Husband to be are getting married in April 2019, Im unsure whether I wait til nearer the time to get quotes of suppliers are whether to get them now so me and my Husband to be can see how much budget we need to save up....

    What are yr suggestions?

I would start now. It'll give you a rough idea of how much you need to budget plus most places seem to increase their prices each year so if you're in a position to put down a deposit now, they may be willing to hold their current prices. A friend of mine did that with his venue (agreed price and put down deposit 3 years in advance) and a couple of years later the same venue appeared on DTTB but even with a last minute discount they still paid almost 3 times more than my friend paid, which just goes to show how much the prices went up in those 5 years. Some places may flat out refuse to quote as they don't know what their prices will be then but there's no harm in asking - mine is only a 2 year engagement but when I went to try on some outfits (a couple of weeks later) one shop refused to let me look at anything because the styles would change before the wedding. I made it perfectly clear to them that I don't give a sh*t about what's in fashion, I just want something I like and suits me but they still refused to let me see anything let alone try anything on so I went to another shop a couple of doors down and found exactly what I wanted there and then for a fraction of the prices the first place were charging and said I could go away and think about it and they would keep the price I'd haggled (for some reason they didn't ask for a deposit so I wasn't going to hold my breath over the price)... went back almost a year later and they actually kept to their word. Because of that we then went on to get my Mum's and my Aunt's outfits from there as well.

I wouldn't say yet I'd wait about another two years as I don't think any supplier will give u a set price since everything goes up every year, yes you could get a rough price but each of your items could go up,say £500 a year for the venue which would make it about £2k more expensive wen it's time to book yours so I don't think it would be particularly useful yet x
