I know this is a bit of a random question, but the thought only popped into my head the other day and I'm looking for some suggestions.

H2B is an Electrician and his hands are absolutely awful! Dry skin, blisters etc. He can't really go on light duties before the wedding and he's tried every hand cream known to man, so I wondered if anybody had any ideas as to how we can tart his hands up a bit between now and the wedding?

Can he not wear thin latex gloves whilst he works between now and then? Or get some moisture gloves and smother them in cream at night whilst wearing the gloves??

My h2b is a gas engineer/plumber and his hands are always awful, I bought him (at serious risk of man point loss) cotton gloves and made him cake his hands in xxx concentrated cream and sleep with them on, deffo improved them x

I have awful dry hands and they split all the time.... (Contact dermatitis from work :()
I have to completely cover them in e45 and let it soak in every day.
And have some in my handbag and at work and and at home.
It's a pain and hard to keep remembering but def worth it.
I also use like a hand exfoliation thing I have to get all the dry skin off
    Xx

Where do I get cotton gloves from ladies?

My hubby to be has been a car valeter since he was young and hes hands are awful too. The acid and chemicals are not good at all for skin.

    Hope it works :)

My h2b is a mechanic, his hands are constanly dirty & he has cracking skin. He started using some moisturiser called "Etre" it is formulated with dead sea minerals, enriched with vits A & E & has aloe vera.

Since he started using this his hands have got much better, they dont crack anymore but are still a bit dirty despite washing. this is the best we have seen for ages.

Unfortunetely i dont know where we got it, i have loads of moisturisers that iv had for years and am slowly getting through them & this was one of them.

    Hope it helps...

C1@r1n5 hand cream is brilliant, wear at night with cotton gloves. A good exfoliator will help too.

My h2b is a mechanic and I know what you mean. His hands and nails are always filthy. I'm booking him in for a manicure a week for the 4 weeks leading up to the wedding. Our friend and my make up artist is doing it so won't be too pricey xx

i do my chaps manicures at home but i dont think he would go to the salon, so good luck Charlotte, maybe try getting a mobile technician, then no ones need to know he has had a manicure. xxx

Tell me about it, my H2B is a farmer and he also has eczema patches, as he is ALWAYS on the farm and never has a day off they never get any better! But as it makes him feel like a manly man having rough dirty hands all the time its 'him' and I wouldnt change him for the world, ( apart from some housework every now and again! ) He has E45 and Hc45 as well as usual moisturizer products doesnt really help :(

Do what lala said and then get him some hand food from boots, works wonders. Shove it on at night and put some cotton gloves on if he doesn't want to have a bright pink tube in his pocket at work all the time.

Also I me heard that soaking your hands in 1/4 cup mouthwash 1/4cup white vinegar and 1 cup of water helps as the dead skin just wipes off, however if he has cracked skin don't do it as it will sting!

He bought some of those bath exfoliating glove things, that he wore at night when his hands got really bad, but I think because they're quite rough they actually made them worse!

We've got hemp hand cream from body shop and E45 so we'll see how we get on.

Thank you for your help xx
