I was wondering if anyone has any advice or could help as I am in a bit of a dilemma. I had a dress ordered over two years ago having paid a 50% deposit on it and went for the final fitting and pick up and it does not fit properly and lots of the detailing and material has been changed and altered from what I had ordered. We asked for a deposit back and left the shop having been guaranteed we will be given this by bank transfer. I am now waiting for this. I now have 6 weeks left till the wedding and need to find a dress in this time. I am based in Bristol can anyone help as to where I can get a nice and unusual dress from at such short notice?

I'm in Cardiff, and there is a Cancer Research Wales bridal suite that sells off the peg. I don't know what they have in stock though. Most bridal shops have samples to sell off that you can buy off the peg. It does rely on them having something in your size that you like, although they would take in something that's too big. There's also a website, which I'll post on your wall. They do bridal gowns as well as bridesmaid dresses. I haven't personally used them, although I have them as a back up if my MOH can't make my bridesmaids dresses in time, but they do say two weeks for delivery.
