We are having 4 tiers and 6 mini cakes; 2 tiers death by chocolate, 1 vanilla sponge, 1 chocolate cherry and then the 6 mini cakes will be fruit :) love the fact there are so many options nowadays!! hate fruit cake lol xx

We've got friends making cakes for us, then we'll have them professionally decorated so they match. My MOH makes a courgette cake which is gorgeous, so we've gone for that as it's unusual. Then we have another friend who has the recipe for the guiness cake that they had at their wedding. The person who made it sadly died of cancer, so it's a nice touch as well. Then we'll have a chocolate one for kids and fussy eaters and a traditional fruit one, plus one that's gluten free as we have a few guests that are gluten intolerant.

My MOH's mum made our cake for us and it was delish! We had bottom two tiers sponge cake (with buttercream and jam!) and then top tier was fruit. I know a lot of people that don't like fruit cake and we don't either so decided to go with what we wanted and have sponge!

Three actual wedding cake tiers then a separate cutting block.

Big tier is classical Victoria sponge with white chocolate frosting and of course icing
Middle chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and icing
Top tier classical with white chocolate again

The separate chopping block is classical sponge with buttercream and jam and of course icing

Fell in love with the white choc one can't wait to have it again lol

We're having a 3 tier cake; bottom victoria sponge with vanilla buttercream, middle Baileys with Baileys buttercream then top lemon with lemon curd. Mmmmmmmm. We were going to have chocolate but our desserts include chocolate already!

ooooo these sound yum! lol im having 100 push pops and a cake at the top, the pushpops will be tiered with cookies n cream, caramel, then vanilla at the top so every one gets to taste all the flavours the main cake on the top is caramel :) h2b is hoping everyone will be side tracked with dessert and sweet table they wont want cake! he has a very sweet tooth lol x

I went for chocolate cupcakes as I had purple cases and wanted mint coloured/flavoured icing on the top so chocolate was the best combination I thought. On top my friend made a normal victoria sponge cake.

I'm really torn..i've decided on a 4 tier cake but i may change my mind and have 5 because i'm greedy...only joking, i might just go for a dummy on the bottom to add volume to the cake but so far i just cant decide. My mum is making our cake as she is a professional cake maker so the list of flavours is endless for us but so far we are choosing from:

Madeira and Raspberry with White Chocolate ganache
Chocolate Orange
Chocolate mint Aero
Lemon and poppyseed
Orange and poppyseed
Lime and coconut
Carrot cake
Fruit cake
Chocolate champagne
Toffee

And that's not even half the list!!!!

My cake is the square on in the picture. The bottome layer is a vanilla sponge with raspberry and buttercream filling, second is chocolate sponge with baileys cream filling, third layer is chcocolate sponge with and orange flavoured butter cream filling and the top will be carrot cake with a cream cheese filling...can't wait it is gonna be amazing :)

We are just going for a 3 tier sponge cake. It what I like the most and I think most people will like that too. Also we are in a tight budget so we are getting 3 cakes from a well known shop and decorating it our selves. The sponge is the cheapest of them all lol. Tbh I think it all depends on your budget and what u like the most. What is your favorite flavour of cake? If u can afford it then why not have your favorite flavour? X

Don't know which one will be on the bottom, middle and top.... doesn't really matter to me as I'm going to ask them to save me a slice of my favourite (or possibly a slice of them all with a bigger slice of my favourite lol) so it doesn't matter which one there is more of :p

3 different flavours - vanilla (amazing amazing!) banana (so yummy) and lemon (lush) and we then have a dummy top tier. I remember that choosing the flavours was very hard as my cake lady is incredible! I don't even usually like cake and I was considering having a lots of different cheeses instead of a cake, but once you have one bite of my cake ladies cakes you will suddenly be addicted!!

We're having a 2-tiered cake. The first tier is Guiness chocolate and the 2nd is toffee sponge with a vanilla & rasberry cream filling. Yummy... Simple white frosting with a blue ribbon around the bottom of each tier and then our dalek bride & groom caketoppers and a mini tardis :)
