Now, I'm of the opinion that anything goes and whatever the couple want on their day is fine, but all the same I just want to ask your opinion... a 1950s style tea-length wedding dress... good or bad?
It wasn't what I was looking for but I've just seen one and I'm very tempted. Will it be suitable for a semi-outdoors spring wedding next year?
Opinions gratefully received x

I tried a few on and they were gorgeous. I think they look fantastic and would be great for that time of year. I suppose you never know what the weathers going to be like though. X

I love tea length dresses! Like Ana40 has said though, the weather is unpredictable to say the least in this country. But it is a brilliant excuse to get the most glam pair of shoes :-)

LOVE tea length dresses, I was going to have one but it didnt suit me, so I dressed my bridesmaids in them instead....I HAD to have them at my vintage 50s wedding......go for it......
I think they're gorgeous, would have had one but my legs are too chubby lol. And even if it rains just think how great your pics would look in a tea length all glammed up under a matching umbrella!! I'm getting married in 10 days and I've bought a emergency wedding brolly just incase xx

I absolutely love them, and am having one for my day. I don't think it really matters about the weather, you can only be outside for a few photos if need be, it is more what you want and feel comfortable in. I'm having one so I can have a georgeous pair of shoes for the ceremony but then can change into flats for the evening and not have to worry about runining my dress on the floor etc x

If it's what you want go for it! As with the weather, we chose April because it doesn't matter what time of the year you choose, it could still be wet and/or cold. The Justin Alexander ones are particularly beautiful x

gorgeous, I think if I were to have a renewal in 10/20 years would go for 50's style.
