This May have been asked lots of times before: but I couldn't find it.

I've tried on about 12 wedding dresses, and there are 3 that I love, all quite different.
    I'm having trouble deciding!

Those of you who have your dress already, how did you find "THE ONE"?

I agree with Shelly - a lot ladies know the dress is the one because they look and feel amazing in the dress. Are there any styles that you found that feel really flattering. When I went to try on dresses the first couple times I didn't find the one, but I did find the shape I preferred - fit and flare with a sweetheart neckline. Knowing this really helped me when searching for the perfect dress.

I tried mine on at a designer weekend and thought it was the one but was on my own. A couple of months later I made 4 appointments and my dress was at the last shop - I figured if I tried on lots and I still liked it then it must be. I just didn't think I'd get 'the one' feeling. So 2nd to last shop I tried something completely different and loved it, said to my mum, sister and moh that I didn't need to go to the last shop but my mum insisted saying I had to be sure cos I'd had the other in my head for months. So we went and as soon as I put it on I knew it was 'The One'!! My moh cried, my mum and sister loved it too! I think for me just the thought of wearing anything but that dress wouldn't feel right, I love looking at dresses but know there's not a dress out there could sway me now

You will get there, my dress makes me feel so pretty and I kept walking up and down to feel it swish around with me, makes me smile just thinking about it now, keep going and you will find it, put trust as well in the shop ladies, the lady at my shop gave me one to try on after she asked what I wanted, when I looked at it on the hanger I tried it on to be polite but it was awesome and gave the effect I was looking for and my mum was let's buy it, let's buy it :)

I tried lots on and always thought I'd get something with a sleeve because I'm quite paranoid about my arms but ended up with one with lace straps, went to 4bridal shops, tried on about 20dresses in total and felt like I'd never find the one, saw this one on a hanger and lady said here try this shape on I looked at it and it looked so boring on the hanger didn't want to try it but I was too scared to say no because she had helped me in and out of a few dresses and I felt guilty lol ! But once I had it on and zipped up I was so excited it looked elegant and was so glad it didn't have a corset back (kept being told I'd need a corset back because I'm a bigger size) absolutely thrilled with it no others compared and all the other shops told me to get a ball gown because it would really pull me in at the waist, ended up with an A line.

I tried 7 and bought the 7th! I kept my eyes closed until I was fully in it and in front of the mirror... I cried because I thought I looked amazing and I actually had a waist and it flattered me, mum wasnt so keen and kept staying ooh try this try that... I did to please we but I did say to her "I don't want to try on any more!" Lol... I thought I knew what I wanted...

Mine was the first I'd picked up but tried it on fourth, and had a smile on my face the whole time it was on and kept touching it because it felt amazing, and when I walked out and saw my MIl and sister cry I knew it had to be mine. Then on the way home they said the people waiting for the changing rooms after me cried too when they saw it!

I had a certaiun style in mind and tried on about 6 in that style and none of them were amazing. Th elady then brought one out and to be honest I ddin't like the look of it at all- oit was a different style and shape to what i had orginally thought of. I tried it on and immeditaely I loved it! It really flattered my figure unlike the others did and it was perfect- I knew straight away and seeing my mum and MOH cry was the final deciding factor for me!

I think you just feel right and it's when you just want to wear it all the time that you know you've chosen the right one!

I took my best friend and MOH and I tried on loads of dresses. Saw a couple I liked, but she didn't feel the love for any. Then she asked them to get the dress off the model in the window(I thought it was yuck), an d once it was on I felt amazing (very curvy) and she cried. It's weird as that was in November and I won't get it back now til the end of April....and will be wearing it at the end of June :)

I went to 3 shops and tried about 10 dresses altogether. I took my Mum to the first two shops. I'm a real tomboy and found it very difficult trying dresses on, and my Mum isn't the sort of person to show her emotions and didn't cry or anything :o/ I thought I'd found one I loved, then found two more that were very different to the first one that I really liked.

I took two very close friends to the last shop. They obviously know me in a different way to family. The deciding factor was when I tried the first dress on and they both almost cried when I walked out of the changing room (a very different reaction to my Mum!). I tried on a couple of other dresses but nothing compared to the first one.

I thought I didn't want a train, but the one I've chosen has quite a long one and I thought blow it, I might as well enjoy being a princess for a day. It felt right and you wouldn't even know the train was there. It also has a gorgeous pashmina to go with it. And it's £200 cheaper than the first dress I liked :o)

I think it's a bit like buying a house. The more you look, the harder it is to make a decision. Maybe try taking a friend for a 'second viewing' of your favourites? Good luck!

I really like the first one but then I think that's a Maggie Sottero dress so I'm biased as mine's a maggie!

Not keen on the 2nd and the 3rd looks lovely on you

I just didn't want to take mine off. Try to visualise yourself walking down the aisle in all 3 and see which feels right

I knew I wanted something with detailing on the train. I looked at many different ones, and that was how I ended up with wanting that detailing. I ordered my dress without actually seeing it, I just fell in love with it every time I looked at the pictures of it. Fortunately I loved it even more when I tried it on for the first time

The detail in the pleats of the second one is beautiful, the photo doesn't do it justice, with a jewelled veil it made my dad well up and he likes it best. (Poor dad has been to all my fittings, but he seems to enjoy it-we lost mum 7 years ago so he's doing all the "mum" duties too x)

If you don't really love one more than the other, maybe you still haven't found 'the one'. When choosing mine I 'really liked' the 1st one I tried on & none of the others quite matched up - so I thought that this dress was 'the one'. Then the last dress I tried on I literally couldn't stop smiling & went giddy like someone else said. I didn't want to take it off & just felt so amazing. When I looked back at my previous favourite dress I now felt it looked plain. I think when you've found 'the one' you really do know. & if you don't know, then you probably haven't found it.

I tried on about 30 in all. Mine was at the first local shop I went to. My sister actually pulled it out. It was the only one there I loved, had everything I wanted; lace all over, lace up back, strapless, sparkle, finished with a chapel train with lovely lace edging and a belt. Its also the only dress I tried on and couldnt stop smiling. I went to a couple of other shops after and tried more but they didnt compare to how I felt and looked in 'mine'. So took my BMs along to see me in it. They all said is was lovely, really suited me and was exactly what they thought I would get. Put my deposit down there and then lol. Cant wait to try it on again. Hope it looks as good as I'm so short they had to order it 3 inches shorter, and now trying to find some nice shoes which are fairly high but stable!

Does everyone have to find the one? Does the one exist? I love my dress but I didn't cry or get overly emotional when I tried it on. It is only a dress at the end of the day. I wouldn't worry about trying to find the one. If you try on a dress and it makes you look good, feel good and you feel comfortable wearing it for the whole day then effectively it is the one.

I know this sounds a bit unenthusiastic but I just feel it isn't worth stressing out over for ages. I started off by stressing out loads as I was waiting for the moment when I looked at myself in the mirror and cried. But in the second shop I went into the shop assistant and she said not everyone is going to cry it depends if you are normally emotional. So I stopped worrying, tried on loads of dresses and chose and paid for my dress - I love it.
