    i have same problem my mum and step dad not coming even though wedding late next year she saying she cant get time off to far to drive all i have my sister her family and my son coming to wedding rest is htb family which is big and his friends dont know where to start with tables where ppl sitting

    It doesn't necessarily need to be equal. Bear in mind that the tradition is to mix it, so his father could sit on your side with your uncle, and then his mother and son on the other side. So:
    Step-son, MIL, OH, You, Uncle, FIL.

    I have the same problem, both my parents have passed and he only has his mum. We were thinking maybe a sweetheart table, maybe you could do this but gave his son as well? X

    As both my parents have split up and re married and my dad has more children i am just having me my H2B and our 2 children at the top table (small and intermate) the best man is sitting on another table as he will have his son there and trying to get everyone on a top table would be a disaster. hope you sort something and sometimes less is more ......have you your h2b ad his son xx
