Wedding Forum - My Wedding Diary 27th June 2015...

I've been looking at everyone else's wedding diaries and their a brilliant way of keeping everything organised with visual aids and also really helpful for other people to get tips and idea's for their big days :D
So here is my Wedding Diary for the 27th June 2015.

As of the 28/01/2014 this is what I have done so far!
Ceremony:
I have been in touch with my Church to hold the ceremony and they have booked the date we want yay! It's not an over the top church but it is so beautiful when dressed up for special events such as weddings etc! They've recently had a makeover but not updated their website photo's yet :) It was built in 1908 and is the biggest church in Barry which is where I'm originally from :)

We dont have to make any paymets to them until the tax year of our wedding or it messes up their finances or something!
Fee's for Church:
£420 - Ceremony with all marriage licence costs etc. Left to pay: PAID!

Party Venue:
We decided to not have a traditional wedding reception purely due to keeping costs down as we are having a rather large scale wedding with between 150-200 guests! Can you imagine the food bill for that hungry lot!
We have managed to book the Memorial Hall and Theatre to hold our evening wedding party which is fantastic as it is a well sought after location for all kinds of events and such a beautiful building.


We are only paying to hire the main room as it worked out too expensive to do a whole wedding package with them :(
But on the bright side it will seat upto 350 people with round tables with enough room left over for a dance floor, top table, cake table and sweet table with access to the HUGE stage aswell if we decide to have live music at some point :D Also has two fully staffed bars with a seperate room to the side for the buffet and access to a fully functioning kitchen. Also we have full use of electrics and twinkling lighting.
Fee's for Venue:
£600 - Venue Hire. Left to pay: PAID!

Venue decorations:
We have hired a company to dress our venue and they are fantastic! I've seen their work first hand and their really friendly and professional. Thankfully they will be setting EVERYTHING up ready in time for the party and taking it all away the next day. I do not envy them at all as can you imagine how long it must take to set up over 200 chairs with covers and sashes! And all the tables and center pieces and lighting etc! And even for all of this we only need to pay a minimum deposit of £50! Which I am planning on paying on Friday coming, although I will be paying off as much as I can to lower the balance left to pay :) They are well worth the money to ensure a perfect venue on a perfect day. The colour will be turquoise :)

Transport Hire:
Getting myself to the church on time is going to be done in pure princess fashion with a pair of white horses and a white carriage :D This part I have always dreamed of since I was a little girl! I would probably refuse to get married until I got my way with this bit lol :D My OH2B wants to arrive in a '67 Mustang but he's having a bit of trouble finding one for hire as all the ones he's come across don't cover Wales :( He has said if he can't find one he will just borrow his step Dad's silver mazda which is very nice. In a selfish way I'm pretty much hoping he doesn't find one so we save on the cost as we've allowed his hire to match the value of mine lol! I'm mean aren't I! :D
Fee's for Transport Hire:
£750 - Horse and Carriage. Left to pay: PAID!

My Wedding Dress!!:
So as us 'Bride's to be' like to think of this as the main event, I'll get straight to the picture! Here is my wedding dress:

It should cost £1300 but as I'm buying it off the rack it's only costing me £1100 instead :)
Although I'm hoping to lose some weight, after 3 children with the youngest being 16 weeks old hehe, it fits me now other than the bust area which would need to be taken in regardless. So even if I don't manage to get to my target of a size 12 it will fit me either way with alterations without changing the dress shape :D
I'm also borrowing my best friends hoop so I have saved some money there but still getting my full princess effect :D The pictures shown are either without a hoop or with a one tier hoop, can't remember which lol!
Fee's for Wedding Dress:
£1100 - Maggie Sottero Allison. Left to pay: PAID!
£90 - Dress Alterations. Left to pay: PAID!
£65 - Hoop. Left to pay: £20.
£59 - Veil. Left to pay: £20.

Wedding Shoes:
I'm normally likely found kicking about in trainers so when it comes to fancy footwear, although my eyes like the sparkly stiletto heels I really dont think my feet would appreciate them quite as much! So I am getting a pair with a thick heel from Club of Rainbow and having them dyed blue! Blue is my favourite colour as you will come to see it featuring heavily in my wedding colours lol. These shoes are like walking on clouds! They have a special built in cushion which will allow me to be in them all day even with the weight of the dress bearing down on them :) I may or may not add some self bling to the toe part if I have the time and spare funds lol but even if I dont they are beautiful as they are!
Fee's for Wedding Shoes:
Managed to get an unused pair off bay of e for £42 and sent them off to be dyed for free as RC have an offer on atm! The pic doesn't show the true colour as they're actually turquoise :D

Bridesmaids Dresses:
Bought dresses from my Mam's catalogue in the end!

Suit Hire:
My OH wants to wear a black top and tails. His groom's men, our son and his step-Dad (giving me away) will all be in blue Kilt suits. Like the BM's the groom's men will be paying for their own suit hire to help us with costs :)

£75 each - OH's and Son's Suit Hire. Left to pay: PAID!

Photography:
I've booked a lovely young lady who is a friend's daughter and I'm getting a fantastic all day package for only £175 all in :D
Fee's for Photography:
£175 - All day package. Left to pay: PAID!

Wedding Rings:
This is where it gets a tad bit pricey! We decided we wanted to have custom made wedding rings so they were extra special and we kind of went a little over board haha :D I don't have any images yet as they won't be made until we've finished paying for them. But I will update them as soon as we receive them :)
Fee's for Wedding Rings:
£900 - My wedding ring.
£800 - OH's wedding ring.
Total £1700. Left to pay: PAID!

Managed to buy my tiara for £10 in a sale :D

DJ hire:
Booked a lovely local DJ.
£495 - Left to pay: PAID!

Florist:
£95 - Brides Bouquet. Left to pay: PAID!
£50 - Bridal party Bouquets, Buttonholes and Flower girl wands. Left to pay: PAID

To Do List:
Make invitations and send them out at appropriate date. DONE!
Meet up with Florist to discuss arrangements. DONE!
Meet up with Party Entertainment to discuss package and prices. DONE!
Find Flowergirl dresses for my two daughters. DONE!
Find my Veil and try to stay within budget! DONE!
Work on Hair and Make-up with hairdresser.

Bit by bit it is slowly coming together. Lets just hope it's all paid for by the time the Big Day arrives lol!

I've been busy with real life the last week so haven't had chance to do anymore wedding planning :)
Plus spending £50 on a new woven wrap for my 17 week old daughter doesn't help my wedding budget lol! :D

Haven't been up to much as there's not a lot more that needs to be done apart from paying things off lol!
To save on costs I've been thinking of buying my bridal party flowers from the Bay of E as it will work out much cheaper. I will still ofc have my bouquet from the florist along with the church flowers.
The ones I'm looking at are beautiful! And really help with the budget :D

So as some of you may remember we had a bit of a financial scare and nearly had to cancel the whole thing! Thankfully the crisis was averted and we're back on track :)

So here's some little updates ;)

We managed to pay off our custom bespoke wedding rings and they should be arriving within the next 4-8 weeks. I'll upload pictures as soon as they arrive!

Due to having too lowering our budget I've had a look for some slightly cheaper bridesmaids dresses which will be ordered soon!

These are costing £25 each :D

I've paid off some more of my wedding dress so only have £150 left to pay, before any alterations costs.

Also thinking of buying these lovely fake rose bouquetsfrom the Bay of E for my bridesmaids to keep costs down, but will probably keep my bouquet as fresh flowers ;)

These are £17.99 each.

I'm also struggling to decide which poem to include in my invites to request money instead of gifts XD I've narrowed it down to these four :D

So I haven't updated in a while but everything is on track :D
Most of the wedding is paid off! Just £300 left too pay on the horse and carriage, £78 left to pay for my veil and £40 for my hoop :D
Today marks one month until the big day!
I had my 2nd dress fitting today and its looking awesome :D I also went and confirmed my bouquet at the florist. I've decided I'm having a tear drop cascade of oriental/stargazer lilies blinged up with diamanté s and turquoise ribbon :) I'm also going to have the pollen stems removed so I don't end up staining my dress lol!
The bridal party flowers arrived and are fantastic! I went for my second choice in the end as they were cheaper but I have no regrets :D

The men's suit hire is all sorted and paid for! I'm putting the Ushers in kilts lol! My H2B refused to wear a kilt so is being a spoil sport and wearing black top and tails lol :D My 10 year old son is also wearing a kilt much to his dismay lmao!

So for the third time I've changed my BM's dresses lol! They didn't fit two out of my three BM's as they came up quite small even with the largest size available :( So I ordered some from my Mam's catalogue and they fit everyone perfectly lol! It's a bit of a compromise but I like them and they match my colour scheme at least!


The flowergirl dresses arrived from the Bay of E and are China dresses but they're amazing quality and my daughter's look lush <3


My youngest wouldn't play ball in the group photo lol but she was all smiles flying solo :D

7 days left omg!!

So we've finished paying for the horse and carriage at last! I have too ring the company on Tuesday too finalise all the details for where they're picking me up etc.
I've got £20 left too pay on my hoop and £20 left too pay on my veil which I'll be paying tomorrow when they open :D
Then all I have left is too pay £86 to the hairdressers on Thursday for having my hair dyed and my hair trial. My MiL is paying for mine and my daughters hair too be put up on the day as part of a girlie's morning :D
We're also going to pick up the groom's top and tails and the groomsmen's kilts tomorrow from the suit hire shop and make sure they al fit correctly.
It's all systems go woohoo :D
I can't believe there's only 7 days left! It's mad too think that I started this wedding planner back in January 2014 :D
