    Hi!
I'm after a bit of advice, our toilets at our venue are pretty boring and non inspiring, have any of you had to decorate your venue toilet(s) and if so what did you do?
    TIA

Hadn't even considered dressing the loos. Erm I guess you could have some flowers by the basins to match and maybe some corsages or pomanders hanging on the doors.

Didn't really think about it but if the venue is exclusively yours then how about putting some personalised hand soaps et.c

I remember a guy on don't tell the bride who put new toilet seats on the toilets in his local. His bride always complained about the state of the toilets apparently. I didn't think about it tbh. I am concerned about being able to use the loo myself. I haven't picked my dress yet, but the cubicles obviously need to be big enough.

Yes, we're decorating the bathrooms at our village hall. They are quite modern and clean but very plain, so in the ladies we're putting up bunting (we might not bother in the men's...I don't think they'd notice!) and then in ladies and gents we're putting proper toilet rolls (they have cheap and nasty stuff there at the moment), hand soaps and moisturisers, and baskets of toiletries etc. I'm thinking if buying some 'ladies' and 'gents' signs for the doors to cover up the originals to brighten them up a bit as well. Oh and I'm contemplating putting tea lights in jam jars too as the windowsills are high up and they will be well out of reach of little ones! X

Thanks everyone. Yours sound the same as ours Joey Yorks. Clean, tidy and boring! Also it's an old building so it's an old toilet system where you can see the pipes. I'd thought of flowers to detract from the pipes but not any further!
I love the idea of personalised hand towels, thank you Mrs Malin2b.

Candles in jam jars is a good idea, and maybe some flowers, or petals in fish bowls with water xx

I haven't thought of any decorations but I will be putting a toiletries basket in each toilet,
A ladies one with parametamol, perfume samples, deoderant, plasters, tights etc
A mens one with razor, paracetamol, aftershave etc etc

just a nice addition to save any dramas!!

The toilets in mine are pretty generic to be honest, and we would only be able to have sole use of them after the wedding breakfast so any decorations may be stolen!! :p

I can honestly say I have never been into a toilet and thought 'Wow this is boring, they could at least have some candles/flowers'. I go in, use the loo, wash my hands, and get out. Provided it is clean and tidy and doesn't smell, I'm not too fussed. So, this is not something I personally would choose to spend money on, though if you do, I second the idea of candles in jars (if permisable) or flowers, or perhaps some pot pourri with a nice scent in a pretty bowl.

I've never thought toilets were boring - but our local cocktail bar has put in fresh flower displays and nice hand soap and moisturiser and I really like it haha. I wanted to do something with ours as they're also clean tidy and plain, but h2b said no-one will care so he won't put money towards it lol

I don't think it's worth it personally. Iv been to venues where the venue itself are amazing but toilets a bit naff. As long as it's clean I don't think many people care or even take notice but like the others said candles or potpourri would be the best option to decorate it with x
