    I don't think there's a thread for this yet :-)

I started healthy eating on Monday and have lost 5lb already ! Woop !! I have started exercising tonight too so should come off even quicker :-D

I've got 7lb more to lose before the 11th which is my 1st fitting for my dress and that'll be the weight I was when I was measured for it !

After that I want to lose 7-14lb more to be 8-8.5 stone which is my recommended weight for my height :-)

Good luck to everyone else who is on the weight loss train !!! :-D xxx

I'm eating mostly protein, eggs, meat etc.. Adding beans, a small amount of cheese, mushrooms or veg in to give a more varied taste so I don't get bored :-)

I've started a 10 minute skipping regime but I've reduced it to 5 minutes for now as I'm just not fit enough yet to last 10 minutes lol.. Skippings flipping hard ! Haha ! I'm also using the punch bag for 5 minutes and doing stomach crunches, started with 4 lots of 10 today and I'll do that for a week then up it by 10 every week after that xxx

Some major motivation needed over here! Lol xxx

I was doing well before Christmas but then abandoned dieting while I'm visiting family. Back to Cardiff on Saturday, so the diet starts again on Sunday. I'm doing the NHS 12 week plan, so that I have some focus. I only need to lose 5 or 6 kilos, but I wouldn't mind losing a stone.

I don't need to loose weight to fit in dress but just want to loose weight I'm just over 9.5 stone and my ideal weight is 8.5 - 9st so ideally I want to loose a stone. I got down to 8st 13 for my wedding day which I was happy with anything under that though and I start looking too thin.

I'm gluten free and been very naughty and not followed over Xmas so feeling horrible and bloated! So hopefully when I on Monday when the diet starts I will loose quickly x

I started WW a few weeks ago and so far have lost 10lb. I really need to loose weight as my dress is a little on the small size ~!!!

it fitted perfectly in the shop - or at least the one I tried on did - but a year later when I went to try it on at my mums to show my daughter it didn't fil :( . I have no idea if the shop gave me the smaller size or if I have put on far too much weight , I tried on 2 different sizes, plus someone else was trying on the same style at the same time - my receipt says one size and the label in the dress says another size ... total dilemma but so glad I tried it on when I did so that I have time to loose some weight - probably need to loose another 2 stone in order to fit into it :(

Ahh! I really need to Diet and exercise but I find it so hard as due to my job I'm always on the go and my days are never the same, sometimes I finish at 10pm and I live an hour away from work so I'm forever getting in late and not finding the time in the day to eat 'correctly' as I'm always nick picking with food in between clients. My maid of honour is the best though and she is up for going to exercise classes along with me :) Any ideas ladies?? x

Healthy eating and exercise starts from Monday for me. My only problem is i feel like i need to comfort eat all the time, and i just cant get into the mood to work out. Ive booked myself into a couple of classes, one being 'Piloxing' which ive heard is pretty hard but totally worth it in the end, so hopefully i will get my fitness mojo back!

Me and a bridesmaid have decided to put our money where our mouths are by putting £2 into a pot every week at which time we'll also weigh ourselves and take our measurements. We'll be doing this up to the wedding in October and whoever loses the most wins all the money. I've put on sooo much weight over August to Christmas but I know it'll come off quickly - I managed to drop 2 dress sizes in 2 months from eating healthily and exercising when I was to be a bridesmaid in 2012, this time round though I have even more incentive and I'm currently training to become a fitness instructor so I'll be doing even more than the 14 hours a week I currently do... fingers crossed I'll be getting soome honeymoon spending money coming my way.
Best of luck to everyone and remember that muscle weighs more than fat so make sure you all get your tape measures out and track your progress that way too.

I totally fell of the SW wagon at the beginning of November, a new job meant I just wasn't getting to meetings and since then I have gained 12.5lbs. I have started back on the plan today and I'm hoping to lose about 1.5 stone before my wedding in April, mammoth task ahead!

ooooh this seems a good thread.. getting married in april, never really dieted before. Want to loose 2 stone, which i think is doable to get from 13 to 11 stone. my wedding dress fits perfecty at the moment, but dreading the honeymoon with my little tummy!!! i like the idea about doing it with the BM and putting money in a jar!

though i know my crash dieter BM would wipe the floor with me. lol

You could always impose a no crash dieting rule to up your chances. Our rules are no diet plans, just healthy food (three meals a day plus snacks), plenty of exercise and we're allowed the odd treat along the way. Crash/fad dieting would be tempting but ultimately casuses too much harm to the body so we banned it.

I'm getting married in 3 month and I'm 13st9lb I'd absolutely love to be 12stone by time I get married,my dress fits although a little tight and lumpy and bumpy so Id love to get rid of the muffin top in time for our wedding.
I've started up swimming this week and been doing 40 mins a day ,eating a bit better but as I'm addicted to food I really feel like I'm battling with myself. I wanna find ways to feel more posative and motivated one day I'm motivated and think yes lets do this and the next I think so what if I'm fat other half loves me way I am! But problem is I look in mirror and cringe at myself I feel like a skinny woman in my head but mirror tells a different story. I've gained 5stone since having my son 4 years ago!
    Any tips ladies xx

For toning arms first make sure you're nice and warmed up then for triceps (that's the back of the arms/bingo wings) I'd recommend some tricep dips (if you haven't got a step you can use a chair or perhaps the stairs), if you have some weights you can also do tricep extensions and tricep kickbacks (if you google each one there should be some videos on you tube demonstrating the moves). For bicep toning with weights/bar/cans of soup if nothing else available I'd suggest doing some bicep curls (mixing it up between full and half curls).
For shoulders do some punches out in front as well as up in the air, preferably with some weights for resistance and throw some flyes, lateral raises and press ups in there too for a sexy back as well as toned arms and shoulders. Remember to intersperse these moves with some cardio to keep your heart rate up and try to do some leg moves to keep your body working and using up more calories to pump extra blood from one area to another. Oh and make sure you cool down after otherwise you'll be sore in the morning.

VictoriaB - swimming is great for all over exercise. If your pool also has a gym or offers classes then its worth checking out what's on offer to mix up your routine as the human body very quickly adapts to a particular exercise and therefore doing the same moves over and over on a regular basis will lose its effectiveness. if there's a circuit class on offer then I'd definitely reccomend giving it a try - there will be different moves targeting every area and each session will have slightly different moves. A friend of mine managed to shift 10lbs in 2 months just from adding a 45 minute circuit class to her routine 3 times a week... that's almost a stone towards your target weight well before your wedding.
Great that you love food, continue to enjoy the healthy food you like but just keep an eye on portion sizes. Its absolutely fine to indulge in the not-so-healthy food once in a while so long as it is the odd treat every now and again and that once you have indulged a little you get straight back on the wagon and don't splurge. For instance you have a really healthy lunch but then start craving a chocolate bar so you go ahead and have one but then you go back to having a healthy dinner and not giving in to the little voice in your head that says I blew it with the chocolate so I may as well have a take away for dinner as well.

Starting again today. Doing one week before checking weight. I got the bus to work today so that I could walk home, and I'm targeting 1400 calories, half an hour of walking, cycling or jogging on a trampette, and a few minutes of toning each day. That was working before Christmas so hopefully I'll see the effects soon. I don't need to lose much; my dress is a sample which already needs taking in, but I want to look my best.

MrsH-2b I do get numerous pains in my boobs but never as a result of exercise. I'd say to give different sports bras a try by going into the changing room and actually jumping up and down in front of the mirror to see how much bounce you get (you're aiming for none, or as close to none as possible). If the bra definitely isn't the problem then probably worthwhile popping to the docs and seeing if they can pinpoint what the cause may be.
