That my wedding dress isn't going to fit!!

Have my first dress fitting today at 1pm, have not seen my dress for about a year and since then i have put on over a stone in weight!!
Don't get me wrong, when i bought the dress i was struggling to eat and was around 7st. Now im about 8st 10 and although i have been trying to lose weight it hasn't really been working (i cant really do it without not eating and i dont want to go back to that!)

So, my question is, if i am too big for the dress do they have ways to fatten it out?

eeeek, feel like i want to hide in bed and not go :(
    xxx

Yes they can let a dress out ...... Please don't stress it isn't going to change anything ...

    Have fun at your fitting

I am sure dresses can be altered if they are too big or too small.

Don't panic, go and enjoy seeing and wearing your dress again :-)

Often the dresses need to be altered to take them in because they come bigger than the bride so it can be altered to fit perfectly, easier to do inwards rather than taking out so try not to worry hun but I totally understand as I gained a stone between buying my dress and the wedding day, however, the dress fitted me fine. Is it corseted? That can help too.

    Hope it goes well xxx

You'll be fine don't worry! Is the dress lace up at the back? If so you can go up and down a size just by lacing up so do not worry x

I have this in the back of my head my dress is at my dads and I can see it coming to a few months before and it not fitting? Have you got a lace up back as they can give a lot of room? Don't worry yourself over it they will get you into the dress they will deal with weight gain as easy as they do weight loss

8 stone 10 is a healthy weight, please don't lose weight. They can alter it if necessary. I had a friend who got pregnant five months before her wedding, having already ordered her dress. On the day she looked absolutely fine; you couldn't tell that she was bigger than when she ordered the dress.

    Hi girls, UPDATE!!

So, got there today and tried my dress on and it was stilll too big!! YAY!! So i have to get the bodice bit pulled it and thats costing £70, also have to have 2 inches off the hem and thats costing £75, does that sound ok?
It is a lace up back one so they pulled it in and it was still too big, the girl could put her whole arm down the back!!

Dress did look so much better now that i am not too skinny so i feel so relieved and over the moon now and have no desire to lose any weight because i feel healthy and even a bit sexy with some curves now rather than just being boney.
Also, my hair is so nice looking now that i am heavier so maybe this is supposed to be my correct weight anyways!!

    xx

Thats great news, but please dont lose too much weight.

£75 for 2 inches off the hem is a lot of money I only paid £40 for mine and my BM were the same.

Thanks girls, I don't plan to lose any weight now and have found out that 8st 10 is a very healthy weight for my 5ft3 height. Suppose I have just been used to being so thin that any weight gain makes me think I am the size of an elephant lol.
    Xxx
