Our venue we want to go with have a deal were they do chair covers table covers ect, but they work out about £3.50 per chair and £40 for swags on head table and cake table. But if we to else were I can get the chair for £1-£2 BUT my worry is what if they don't turn up on the day? With the venue it will be stress free and I know t will all be there and just what I want, with an outside company's won't know them and they could go bust or not turn up or anything. So do I go with budget n cheap option or stick with venue and not have the stress but pay the little extra? x

My friend went to someone outside her venue and everything went fine. Try not to worry to much about those things or youll be worried about everything! What if the cake doesn't come? what if the photographer doesn't show? Look and see what their reviews are like. With something like chair covers tho and with how long you have to wait Id personally leave it longer before booking the chair covers! Least then you know what moneys like xxx

It all depends on what you would rather? If your budget stretches to have it all done for you then great, if your not 100% on where you want it I would wait, an outside company is legally bind to carry out any work you have paid for or if its a certain company that dies the venues your worried about do your research and go on recommendations x

Thanks ladies, my mum says just go with the venue doing it as less hassle and that but I like to save money lol. With outside companies the ones that are cheapest are ppl who advertise just of fb n stuff like that so they aren't like a shop or websites business so that's my main worry. So think I'm guna look at some bigger businesses and then see what their prices are like as chances are they are about 3.00-3.50 anyway x

I did think about buying the bits and see if that worked out cheaper as the venue will dress the room either way x
I would go with an outside company and save money. Make sure you google them thoroughly, and if they have good reviews there shouldn't be a problem. Or you could let your venue know what price you've found elsewhere and see if they'd match it rather than losing out on extra money from you!

Personally I would go with an outside company as I like you like to save money but your mum does have a point that doing it through the venue would save stress but if you choose a reputable company then you shouldn't need to worry. I did a poll for you :)

I'd go for an outside company if you can find a cheaper reputable one. Ask the venue for a list of all their preferred suppliers. In the end we went for one of our venue's preferred suppliers, she runs her business from her home but my goodness she was brilliant!

Even though mine is a package they are 1.79 per sash it's a 3 year old business but a very good venue that's ££ uses them and recommends them in their adverts can't get no better than that x

I'd deffo go with a reputable outside company! They probably have more choice too!

I'd probably go with the venue tbf, just for less hassle.
Also, check with the cheaper companies that they definately do the set up - the last thing you want to do on your wedding day is out covers on loads of chairs! Xx

My venue is doing the swagging of the room the table cloths and things like that and ive got an outside company coming in and doing my chair covers
Have you been to many wedding fayres? I found my chair cover lady at one and she is brilliant.
I voted outside company, but again check with them and also the venue for when they can have access to the room as some venues will only allow the morning of the wedding.
Cant wait until I become Mrs K

I've gone with an outside company which is actually MORE then the venue because they do exactly what I want as well as a few extra's that the venue don't do!
Ive seen a lot of people being let down on facebook because they have gone for the cheaper option and gone for company's that do chair covers for £1. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your research before deciding anything, yes they are cheaper saving you money but if they do a runner with your money (which ALOT of ladies have gone through recently on fb because of company's that do a pound a chair including set up and travel???) or the end results are rubbish and your chair covers are creased or don't fit etc then in the long run this is going to cost you even more money and maybe even ruin your day because its too late to do anything about it! If you go with the venue at least you know they are recommended and won't let you down. RESEARCH IS KEY cheaper doesn't always mean better!

I agree with Hails, we have got an outside company and we have only just booked her a few months ago we wanted someone who was recommended and we had a few meetings with ours before agreeing anything.
I would always research who you want as your supplier.
