I have already chosen and designed my wedding STDs, invites (day and night), order of service and RSVPs.. I know it's too early to send anything out yet but I'm worried that if I don't order them now, or soon ish, that they'll be discontinued or something like that ! I don't know how often v.print refresh their designs ....... I'm checking everyday to make sure they're still in my saved section... This is the problem with being far too organised :-(

If you have the venue sorted and a date just get them and keep them until you want to save them. I'm getting married October2014 and I have my save the date cards in my flat ready to go out when I want them too. I haven't ordered anything else yet but getting round to it.

Ideally I'd like to order it all at the same time as the entire lot matches.. I'm worried about them getting damaged or ruining being sat around for ages.. My save the dates will be going out July 2014 and my invites in Jan/Feb 2015.... xxx

we are going to order ours as soon as we have confirmed our venue and date. our save the dates will be going out 12 months prior and invites 3/4 months xx I don't think it's too early as long as you have a safe place to keep them where you know they won't get damaged xx

We've confirmed our venue and date... I'd prefer the time was set before I order the invites I think.. If I could provisionally book the registrar today, then I could maybe order them on pay day once the confirmation letter has come through..
I know I'm going to get hassle from H2B and my Mum for ordering them so soon though :-( xxx

i think it's good tbh hun you don't want to leave it til closer when you're going to be thinking of other things to buy, best to spread it all out!

Thats the way I'm seeing things too.. The more smaller things I buy now leaves more to put in the savings later on when all the small things are finished.. If that makes sense :-/ lol.. xxx

yeah i get u thats what me and h2b are going to do, we have a savings acct but we are going to try and get everything early and use our wages wherever possibly so we don't have to dip into the savings xx

We will start saving in our ISA in July once we've been on holiday as that money is in there at the moment.. But we have money pots at home that we're putting into when we have spare change.. But I'm like you, I want as much as possible to come from our wages so our savings will be for the big things like photographer, suits, rings, honeymoon.. xxx

we made ours a year before the wedding. as we booked the church and reception over a year before the day. we sent them all out 5 months before the big day so people can arrange what hotels to stay in if they aint from my town,and also so people can get time off work if they work on a saturday, were still getting R.S.V.P cards back now and our big day is in 8 weeks xx

I'm going to have to send out STD's a year before the wedding as alot of our relatives book their holidays a year or more in advance ! Invites will be sent in Jan/Feb 2015.. Our date is 4th July 2015, venue wants numbers by 4th June so I'm putting the respond by date as 4th May so I have chance to chase people up ! I'm going to be really frustrated if I have to chase people lol.. You must be getting really excited ! 8 weeks !! xxx

We'll have been counting, technically for 5 years and 5 months lol, but from booking the venue til the actual date it will be 2 years and 4 months ! So 28months... I can't even imagine what 8 weeks could possibly feel like haha ! I can't wait to see everything I'll have been working on for over 2 years all in it's rightful place at the venue :-) Going to be amazing ! xxx

Ah I see.. Noone in my family even knows we've booked the venue lol.. Well, my mum, dad, brother and FIL do but thats it.. My cousins girlfriend enjoys copying me, and they as a couple enjoy copying us so we're not mentioning it at all until we send the STDs out June/July next year.. Which makes it a little bit more exciting tbh hehe :-) I know that may seem extreme but I dont just mean they go to the restaurant we've mentioned or something, I mean she's started buying things exactly the same as I have, trying to dress like me and they went and bought the exact same ipod sofa we have in our bedroom even though it had doubled in price from when we got it, and I mentioned I liked the name Isaac for a boy and they called their son it and wanted to call a little girl Georgi if they had had a girl... xxx
