Don't make the invites too big. Ours were C6 sized (A5 folded in half). So I got two invites out of one A4 sheet. With the STD's (pic on my wall), I got three to an A4 sheet (7cm x 29.7cm) guillotined lengthwise. All of those are very printer - friendly, and along with an A4 info sheet folded four ways, fitted into a C6 envelope.

Don't forget, if they're bigger than A5 the postage is more expensive!

Oh, and one other thing; It's all well and good putting things like ribbon, raffia, etc in to tie the invites up. Yes, they look pretty, but that doesn't count for anything when the postal system's automated franking system jams :-) ........

Also, write - or print on the envelopes if your going down that route - the fact there is no cash, cheques or anything of value in the envelope. We had three invites go missing, and I suspect this was the cause.

Ours are slightly smaller than A5 and the rsvp cards and evening invites are postcard size.

I don't think size really matters, just make sure it is easy to read and they can go as normal postage - max A5 and make sure any ribbons etc don't make it too heavy or thick for the 'normal' postage rate x

My rsvp are c6 the invites are 5x5 (pocketfolds) and postcard size (evening invites)
Basically there are no set rules they can be what ever you like as long as they fit in an envelope!
My day invites will actually be in boxes but thats only because they will be hand delivered otherwise I wouldnt bother because of postage

Mine are going to 5x5 too as also doing pocketfolds. Our venue are posting ours though so were not too worried about weight/size xx

Ours are 5x5 but we didn't worry too much about the size as they are going to be handed out not posted
