    Ocean, in my experience a lot of the dessert stuff tends to get left, but that might be coz most of the dos we've been to that have had one, it's been all the same people (ie family) there so it might just be they aren't dessert sort of people. Personally, I think wedding cake and a sweetie buffet are an excellent alternative.

    That said, a range of scrumptious looking desserts does have a wow factor!

    My sweet buffet is my favourite thing that I have planned. I went car booting to get all of the glass containers (got 40 in all in different shapes and sizes) and personalising it with wedding parties favourite sweets along with some classic retro sweets and just some others that me and OH like. Have got scoops, tongs and labels and keep setting it out on my dining room table in different ways to see what looks best! I could not be more excited, only got 30 guests but going to have so many sweets so OH and me can have all of the spares after, lol. Sweet buffet is just so us x

    We're having desert as part of a 3-course meal, wedding cake AND a sweet buffet :-s major over-catering I fear!! Hopefully everyone will take a bag of sweets home with them or I will be forever eating sweets and end up with type 2 diabetes! xx

    we are having a sweetie table, and have been asking friends/relatives to give us any empty glass jars they come across :) to fill with sweets! that was it is completely free, and can recycle them after! :) x
