Please leave a review of chinadresses here. Already received, and don't mention supplier, rather post it on people's walls if they ask for the info. PLEASE POST THE INFO/LINK ON MY WALL FOR EVERYONE TO SEE :)

Please do not spare on the details, tell us everything!
Does the dress feel as "heavy" as when you tried it on in a shop?
How is the quality of fabric and stitching?
How much does it differ from the original (if replica dress)?

And of course, how much did you pay?

    Thanks everyone!

Good thread Annette (I've just read your other one too, slightly bemusing!!) I look forward to seeing any reviews as I am really tempted to buy from china for myself. I have been looking at another website though and i did email a girl in Canada and she replied sending me photos of her dress which she was really pleased with. I'll put the address on my wall if anyone's interested and I don't know if anyone else on here has bought from there either.

On a serious note i had a friend that bought one off bay of e (will i get told off for mentioning that ;o) ) and hers was perfect. She went to a bridal shop got all the measurments and sent them to the dress maker and when it arrived was a perfect fit.

Ali, do you know who on the bay she bought it from? If you do please send me the details on my wall :)
Also, do you know if the fabric was the same as in the shop, or did it feel a bit lighter?

    Yayyyy! New thread Annette!
As i've said, I really think a stickied thread for this topic is needed, afterall, this site is for brides on a budget, and a dress is one of the most expensive things to buy, so china dresses are a good option.
I am still considering it, but knowing me will really fall in love with one when i go looking and demand I get that one! lol. Shall have to see how we go on for monies xxx

tbf Kimmie...this site isn't just for those brides on a budget or else it would be called "Budget Brides UK" or something similar...im bemused as to why you get this impression when its clear there's a wide range of budgets between all the brides...besides its not the money that matters..as long as you love the dress and are comfortable..it shouldnt be a issue!!!

and i got my dress..a mori lee..o n the sale rale from £700 to £300 so they are always good to check sale rales in bridal shops

I got one from china....the worse mistake i have ever made.....the dress was hideous!.....nothing light the picture, cheap crappy material, stitching coming apart, glued on flowers.....it was heart breaking!
If ur gonna do it ask for an actual photo of the dress before u buy, i wouldnt count on feedback being correct as i was offered more than half my money back as long as i left good feedback, and i got to keep the dress as well but its only useful for rags!

I bought my dress from China and it's almost perfect. It needs some alteration (I've lost weight since ordering it, and measured my b00bs wrong!) And some of the buttons are a little loose, but nothing that I can't fix myself with a needle and thread.
The dress feels heavy, like a full wedding dress, and mum has had more than a few problems lacing up the back - mostly due to arthritis, not the dress quality.
I also got a shawl, but unfortunately this has a water stain on it. I wasn't keen on ordering it, but mum pointed out it was only £8 more, and can always be dyed.

I bought because I'm on a budget, and I'm happy with the result. It'll need steaming to get the creases out but every time I've tried it on (every time I buy a new accessory) I've felt wonderful. I can't wait for it to fit properly and for me to wear it for real.

Tiggs, this is she who must not be named eh? I thought she had factories in China, does not the website state it so, though she is the contact in the UK? Or am I mixed up?
And please tell us more about the dress, was it good quality, was the fabric cheap or the same as in shops?

I didn't get my wedding dress from China, but I did get my MoH's dress from there. Apart from an unexpected excise charge, I can't fault it! I ordered it and it was here in a couple of weeks. Did order a regular size, so there was no need to custom make to measurements supplied, so that may have been a bit quicker. Great quality and my MoH is over the moon with it! I'll leave the link on your wall as they do wedding dresses too.

Hi Annette, I have bought and recieved my 2nd dress off the bay of e. My reason for a second dress is because my day one is big and heavy and wanted something light and elegant for the evening. I paid £58 for it and it is absolutly amazing, I was so shocked by the quality and how perfect it fitted and looked to the picture. I loved it that much I have ordered it in a diffrent colour for my bridesmaids. There is a picture of it in my photos. x

Re excise charge, it says that you may have to pay import but, due to the random nature of customs, they can't know in advance if your parcel is going to be stopped and checked. Some are and some aren't.
