So my parents came to my final fitting and have picked up my dress to drive it up to lancashire- yay!

But for the second time of trying it on (tried on in June for final amendments) I felt really hot and started to feel queesy in it. I am so worried that this is how I will feel on the day. I know her shop is small and there wasnt much air circulating but it was so bad my mum was fanning me.
When I tried it on in June I put it down the fact I was over excited with the first time of seeing it almost finished and it was my second hen party and a warm day. I know that down here in Sussex it has been a warm weekend- but what if I feel like this in Church?
    Anyone else had these feelings?

Also in June I thought wow this dress is long at the back- I didnt remember the sample I tried all those months ago being so big. My parents also commented - wow its huge - my dad said I look like a marquee - he did say some lovely things too. It has 8 layers of net! I am also worried im going to look all puffy and silly and it will be too big :(

I felt exactly the same the most recent time I tried on my dress back in June. I got hot VERY quickly. The shop I was in is also very small and didn't have air conditioning and I have been second guessing my choice a lot since. My bridesmaids and FMIL all saw me in my dress and I asked them if maybe I should consider a different style with the time of year (I am getting married in Aug next year) and they all said "are you insane! you look lovely!" I still have moments where I am wavering and thinking "Maybe something sleeker and lighter would be a better idea?"

As a precaution I bought a second dress which I got for £62 from my work (see my albums) which is a lot lighter and sleeker which I can change into should I become uncomfortable.

Do you have a chance to try it on anywhere else? Can you breathe easily in it? It may be that you just need to ensure that there are bottles or glasses of water in strategic places, but possibly if it's being fastened too tight that wouldn't help. Maybe a separate evening do dress would be worth considering.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

I am glad it is not just me who felt like that Victoria - I got the same response from everyone. I must be the only bride around hoping for cool weather right now.
I think we will ask our mums to take a bottle of water- brides maids are now buying a fan each for their bags and one is saying she will bring an ice pack haha!!
I am only worried about in Church - after church and pics my dress can be loosened a bit and i can have plenty of water - walk off to cool places etc but during the service I will just panic if I feel ill x

I had the same problem when I tried mine on at my fittings at the alteration place. The last time I went, I made a point of working out if the air was really hot, which it was. So it wasn't just me. I mentioned this to my venue, and they said they have air con lol

Yes the dress lady does like to whip me in really tight because my waist is my best feature IMO haha. I will make sure mum doesnt do it quite as tight if I am feeling that way.

Firstly this weather and any shop or home no matter what air con or windows open will make anyone look puffy .
Secondly I would try it again if you can on a cooler day and just take some deep breathes as now you could be worrying and this will not help you at all . I'm sure you will be fine and as much as it's easy to say but you will look beautiful :)
