Just wondering when everyone was getting married? We were looking at April next year but my h2b says now he would like a June wedding as it will be (supposedly) warmer?

There's a similar thread on here already but anyway, you can't guarantee weather in this country. I've been to peak season weddings in the height of summer and it's chucked it down all day with rain. My sister and BIL got married e years ago on the 7th April and it was hot, sunny and dry all day. We had a May wedding and it rained on and off and was cold even though the sun shone.
The bonus of April is that it's classed as off peak so is slightly cheaper, peak season runs May to September inclusive. If you plan for poor weather then at least you're prepared and not disappointed but if it's warm dry and sunny its a lovely bonus xxx

We booked the 25th July 2015 as I wanted a summer wedding but you never can predict the weather lol
We went for October as our venue did a really good low season package (half the price of their normal high season cost) plus we also got engaged in October so the month was special to us.

UK weather is not exactly predictable. We've had glorious weather over the last week. I don't really think that there's a lot of difference between May and June weatherwise, so let other factors decide you. We're getting married at the end of August, which in theory should be gorgeous weather, but I'm still factoring rain into the plans.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

I'm going for September as it won't be too cold as its just after August but is also considered outside of summer season for most venues so cheaper! Also, we can go on a slightly cheaper honeymoon after as it won't clash with any school holidays :) x

We went for August because I am a teacher so can have a week or so prep and a couple of weeks for honeymoon and prep for the new school year. We chose the 9th because we got engaged on 9th March. I would have liked a March wedding but I didnt want to wait for honeymoon.

My h2b wanted an early summer wedding because it would be warmer so we were all set, knowing when we wanted. I didn't mind what time of year. Then we went to see a venue and the woman gave me a wink as she opened the doors to the reception hall. It was fully decked out for Christmas and *bam* December wedding it is! The others are right, weather here is so unpredictable; we can have warm febs and blizzards in March. Go for what you want rather than the weather xx
