Hello, I'm not exactly new, but haven't been on here for ages. Now it's TWO YEARS to go til the wedding, and we've been seriously thinking about things.
One question at the moment thought: where can you get married?
We're not having a church wedding, that is certain, but can we get married anywhere (i.e. which borough)? I live in Reigate and Banstead Borough, my finance is in Tandridge, his parents are in Croydon, and my parents are in Eastbourne, but can we get married in any borough, or does it have to be in the borough that a family member lives?
Thanks huns!
Amanda

you can get married practically anywhere these days if you contact your local council they will have a list of places i think it could be on their website if you have a look :0) XX

I know you can get married at any licensed venue, but what I'm asking is if you have to get married in the borough in which you (or your fiance or parents) live or can you approach ANY borough? :)

you can get married anywhere but if you get married in a different district to where you currently live you need to give notice in both places. We live near chester and crewe hall is on crewe so we need to give notice in both registry offices.
cant wait to be Mrs Evans less than 3 weeks woooo
start weight 10st 1.5 lbs
weight now 8st 4.5 lbs
total loss to date: 24.5 lbs now need to maintain!
I have to give notice in both places and i was told no, you just pay the registra where you live then the one where you get married sents the registra out to marry you which is why you have to give notice there to make sure they are available
