Hi everyone! I'm getting married this August but as I gained 18 kilos in the last year I'm now in a regime to lose some weight. I started one month ago and so far I've lost 4 kilos (seriously, you should download the 'My fitness pal' app!!). I'm getting a high street dress but as I'm planning on lose more weight I'm not sure how much before of the wedding I should get it. Any advice? Thanks!

Most places here in the UK advise ordering about 9 months before to allow time for the dress to be ordered and delivered. I am getting married June 2016 and dress shopping this June. I would definitely look at getting your dress very soon.
Remember your dress can be taken in if needed. Depending on the style of dress it could potentially be taken in up to 3 dress sizes (and you can order a smaller size in anyway if you know you will definitely lose weight). The staff in the shop should be able to advise or ask a seamstress x

Even if you're planning on getting a high street dress, I would still start looking to buy ASAP as it may need altering.

I wouldn't leave it too long, maybe a month max x

Sorry I totally missed the 'high street' part! But still, I would definitely start looking very soon x
I would never put a timescale on it, incase you find "the one". I'd look now, as many dresses can be altered if needed.

I would start looking into it now, they can be altered but if you leave it too late you'll cause yourself unnecessary stress you never know when you will find the one for you! x
