OK! So we thought our budget would be £10,000 but its ended up been £13,000! We did add a videographer for £800 which i thought was necessary half way through planning! We could have had a much smaller do and done it for half, but its going to be a beautiful day :) and YOLO!! hopefully lol xx

Our budget has bounced around a lot, from £3000 to £10000 and back again.

Currently as we get near to it it is looking around £8000 without the honeymoon. We are lucky that about a 8th of this will be paid by family.

So our original budget was £5k quickly pricing up things we are around £7.5k but we are getting a weeks holiday too as we are marrying in cyprus. Dont think it will rise anymore as we are in the final stages of planning.

I went to a wedding in Paphos-it was stunning, and everybody was cheering the bride as she went through the streets. I think she ended up paying 11k, but she did have a party back at home afterwards

We're looking at £5,000, max, that said if OH had his way we'd have two witnesses in the registry office on a Wednesday afternoon straight after work...

No one is helping with the costs, and we prioritised house over wedding, so we're going to be very strict about things. I want a nice ceremony with some nice photos to remember it by, but think fish and chips rather than fine dining.

Think our total without the honeymoon is around 13000

We have paid for everything ourselves although we have had £1000 given to us by my parents.

Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan

Ours was 16k but has ended costing 18k thankfully we've paid it all off just a count down to the big day and final preparations undergoing! It is amazing how quick things can mount up! I agree that 250k is extortionate!! How the other half live!!

    finally became Mrs B 22nd June 2017!!

We have set it at 11K but planned an extra 2K just in case as a limit. Luckily we have been getting bargains on some things are increased costs in others so hopefully it will balance everything out.

Upon working out, i think we will end up spending around 17k (minus honeymoon). 10k is the venue/food/drinks which is booked.
Don't really want to spend that much but we brought our home in 2017, so all savings can go on our big day now (in 2 years time).

    Boyfriend - 16th May 2010
    Fiance - 20th August 2017
    Husband - 16th May 2020
Can't wait to marry my best friend.

Originally 20k excluding honeymoon. Still in the early stages of planning but I think it'll probably be more like 23k. 120 day guests up to 200 in the evening.

If I had my way we would be low key, 20 guests (immediate family and best friends only) and takeaway at home for the reception - budget would under 2k. But my H2B has a massive family and he wants then all there so we're having a big wedding instead. After all, it's his best too!
