Ebay for certain! .. and making my BM dresses myself, well, designing them and a friend helping to make.. Also, we've gone for a late ceremony, thus cutting out the traditional sit down meal (which neither of us liked the idea of) so we can have the venue of ceremony that we loved rather than settling for registry office x
being a slave driver, lol. i mean my family being really helpful. we've done loads ourselves, from invitations to shrugs and hair pieces.

The most expensive part of my wedding is the actual ceremony, I've got evening dresses instead of bridesmaid dresses and they're only £25 so the bridesmaids are all paying for their own stuff, all we have to buy for the men is their ties because they're providing their own suits, my friend is doing a creative media diploma so she's doing the photography for free and the DJ and the band are free because h2b is a guitarist in the band and is also a DJ and the wedding food is just a finger buffet from costco, which is where we are gettin our £11 wedding cake, so I think thats the best advice I can give you, is try and do as much of the above as possible, if you can! X

I have so many friends in the business that I am getting cracking deals on everything so thats how I have managed to save money. It's fantastic as it means we can still buy the lovely first home we so desperately want!

Making a list of essentials, and not buying things just because they are cheap.

Yeah I agree with Dove - if you start buying things just because they are cheap and you were never really intending on having them in the 1st place that will just end up costing you in the longrun. You really need to have a list of the most important things you want for your day and stick to it; if at the end you do have extra then you can always add on wee bits and bobs xx
