Just curious to know how good people were at RSVPing for you?
Our invites were on a tight turn around - sent at start of May for RSVP 28th June. With only a short while to go most of the evening guests have not RSVPd and I think only half the day guests.
My question really is - when do I start to panic? Being an organised person myself I wouldnt by late with a reply but others I suppose might be. We already know (because we have been planning so long) that our day guests are mostly all definites but if they dont RSVP do we assume they are or arent coming? Same for the evening - if they dont RSVP do we assume they are saying they arent coming?

We have a final meet with the venue on 5th July.

I think you should give people a chance to answer up until the RSVP date, then you can start chasing and asking for an immediate reply. Or, you could do what I am doing and dropping it into EVERY conversation I have with my guests so it's always in their head like it's always in mine.

im waiting til the due date, then im gunna get people on the case for chasing up, they will only have one chance though and will need to let us know there and then, if that means its a verbal yes then that will do. im not messing about. its them what will look like idiots if they turn up on an assumption that I'm psychic. I have other guests id like to bump up to day time, so tbh, im not really bothered.

Apparently one guy (who hasnt rsvp'd) has passed comment that he has a new suit for the wedding...? Again, am I psychic?

The vast majority of my guests have RSVP'd though and been really good, had 3 months to as well...!

I think, generally, you're supposed to assume its a no if people dont reply, but some people are just useless and forget <_<

I'm dreading the RSVPs too. Like most on here if I had to RSVP I would do it quickly.
I wasn't going to do save the date cards, but i gave in this week and ordered save the date magnets that way people have the date so should know whether on not they'll be likely to come.
I am going to do an early RSVP date before when the venue need to know so it gives me time to invite others for those who aren't coming. I am assuming anybody that doesn't reply aren't coming. In the invite I'm going to put a polite note that we need the RSVP as need to let the caterers know as they need to give their menu choices, so if they don't respond then they don't get a meal.

Did you put RSVP envelopes in with the invite?

I'm worried about this too, most of my friends are useless at things like this! For a select useless few I may even put stamps on the RSVP envelopes :)

I had RSVP postcards in mine, all they needed to do was tick a box and send it back lol

only one couple of toms friends have RSVP's but we know for a fact they are all coming anyway, so I can let them off... its just the relatives, the ones you don't really see on a regular basis who you cant be sure you *know* will come, is what is annoying me (also hence why im not too bothered if they don't come)

We're waiting on about 30 people after the deadline has passed. Most if we ask them directly tell us yes or no, but some genuinely don't know. We've got an early deadline though, so we can give those who aren't sure quite a while. We're saying we need to know soon though, to push people to make a decision.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.
