Just wanted to know what you girls are having as your wedding cake and how many tiers are you having? I know diff shapes, designs are popular at the min im torn between a traditional cake or a few tiers with some pretty designs on x

Have a look in my album for a pic of cake. I am not having tradional as i don't like fruit cake, icing or mazipan. Ours will be chocolate paste which is like icing but not as sweet and has chocolate mixed with it.

just had a look vickie its stunning im easy uts my h2b he doesnt like icing so i think were going to go for half sponge half fruit cake cos he loves it just have to take the icing off lol x

Think we are having a three tier ivory cake with a square fruit cake on the bottom, chocolate sponge and then just plain spnge.x

Im struggling with cakes at moment think im going to end up making own as everyone i have found to make them put marzipan on them (and I cant stand the suff) and also i want sponge as dont like fruit cake so having to be carefull with design as if anything to heavy it possibly going to sink etc!
Thankss girls, wanted something different too. I was going to have a choccywoccydoodah cake but I came to my senses with price plus dress was slightly over budget so dad said it was dress or CWDD cake lol. I chose Dress.
We are having 1 fruit cake and 3 sponge cakes.
Try having a chat with cake maker about chocolate paste, its similar to icing to mould but not as sweet as got chocolate in, so have a chat with them about what they can or can't do. Won't have to take icing off lol. I am the awkward one, OH loves icing and marizapan and fruit cake lol.

we are having 3 tiered cake 2 sponge and one fruit (circle shaped)its hard to describe how it will fit together as 2 cakes will be set directly on top of each other then the last cake will be on 3 pillars so raised up, this will enable cake maker to make a ladder up to top cake that H2B (miniture of him in his wedding atire) will be climbing up. to met me (again miniture of me in wedding dress). On top of the cake will be me and sugar flowers that are used in my bouquet and table centerpieces. a drape of icing will come down from the top of the cake pinned on each cake tier with the same flowers and a minture of my daughter in her brides escort dress sliding down he drape. I just hope it will work out as well as I imagined it in my head !!!

were having a three tier cake, with three different flavors on each level a raspberry and white chocolate cake, chocolate cake, with a double chocolate butter cream, and a baileys one all are round cakes not sure on design have given my cake lady a free reign just given her a picture of my dress and flowers so i cant wait going to be a surprise.

We're just having plain sponge, 3 tiers. I assumed it would be round but with the Lego theme we'd probably be better off with a square one!

I've got a picture of cake we going have in my photos, a lady I've found on Facebook that lives near me is doing at a good price. It's 5 tiers Bottom is fruit then Chocolate then vanilla then strawberry then anther small fruit so we can that one.
