I saw some lovely heart shaped place cards that sit on top of wine glasses the other day. They only seem to come in packs of 10 and I need 40, the cheapest I've seem them for the about £3.50 and I don't want to spend that much on my placecards so I thought I'd have a go at making some inspired by the ones I'd seen. I've uploaded a pic to my decorations album, what do you think?
If I do make these then I need to work on drawing the pattern and get some proper card. I've also got some little dark red diamontes that are left over from my invites, do you think I should include these and where?

well this is obviously just my personal opinon, and i am quite often wrong - but i think the scroll under the name kinda takes away from the whole look. To ME it makes it a little harder to read the name. BUT if you like that then leave it, otherwise theyre fab and would look lush with a little diamante stuck on.
like i say, just what I think... maybe make the scroll smaller or move it to where the name is and have the name more in the middle...i dont know....i am not very good with craft things at all.
but yes they do work, and i dont see why you shouldnt make them.
I want butterfly ones, but dont know if i can be bothered making my own. too lazy :)

I really like them, well done. I just received one that I ordered off the bay in a butterfly shape and it won't sit on the glass rim, it just keeps falling off :( I was very disappointed with them as they looked gorgeous in the sellers pic.

Thanks I agree with you that the pattern needs to be smaller. We used this pattern on our wedding invites and I thought it would be nice to tie it in.
ooh, it looks lovely. I would go ahead and make them yourself if it would save you some money. I think the squiggly line makes them look less professional. But other than that, pretty cool
I bought butterfly ones as well! pink and black ones! I think they look fab!
